I'm a Korean-American millennial that's always been too lazy to make bibimbap at home because of the pressure of making dolsot bibimbap similar to the way my mom would. This sheet pan version is everything. Thank you!!!

as someone who needs CCs for accessibility it's actually really frustrating. they mess it up a bunch of times and make other errors too - like "shape pan" rather than "sheet pan". it seems like they just put auto generated captions in for the proper ones and didn't bother checking them. they don't even do manually entered in CCs at all anymore so it's not really a surprise that they were so careless with this.

As a Korean that grew up throwing various banchan from the fridge together in a large bowl with gochujang, sesame seed oil, and MAYBE a friend egg, this is the fanciest, the most gorgeous version I've ever seen! I bet it really comes together even more if you add some of the traditional banchan elements, like oi muchim and various Namul. It's crazy how much I grew up with a large variety of banchan always available in my fridge, and now I'm living away from my mom, it seems like a luxury :) Looks amazing, thank you for a great recipe!

@@manders76 Awesome! My mom is Korean, but she never had the patience to have another person in the kitchen with her, so she never taught me how to make stuff. I only learned how to make bulgogi by accident, when I mixed soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha together to make a beef marinade. It smelled oddly familiar, so I asked mom, and she said, yep, that's not far off from bulgogi. Of course, sriracha is not a traditional ingredient, and it was missing a few key ingredients, so I've tinkered over the years, but it has been such a delight. Anyway, please keep learning more! Some other channels you vould check out are Maangchi and Aaron & Claire. Some of my favorites are buldak, pork bulgogi, jjajangmyeon, tteokbokki, haemul pajeon, and miyeokguk. Oh, and don't forget the banchan either, like spinach, bean sprouts, pickled daikon, and more. Enjoy exploring Korean food!

Made this and it was soooo wonderful. I'd recommend making a bibimbap sauce (gochujang-based, very easy) rather than just using the gochujang paste on its own, because it elevates the bibimbap from quite good to amazing.

I think I finally understand how Italians feel when they see one pot or oven pasta recipe lol As a native Korean, I would say this is a westernized version of bibimbap. Oven is not a part of Korean traditional cooking and I know for a fact that lots of Koreans use their oven for extra storage space for pots and pans. 😆 I'm sure this recipe tastes great tho, cuz roasted veggies???? you can't go wrong with that.❤As its name goes, bibimbap just means mixed rice so you can mix rice with toppings of your choice and call it your version of bibimbap. But I also remember Hello Fresh, the meal kit, sent me sriracha sauce in place of gochujang... and I was offended lol I know Eric is of Korean heritage and again, this must taste amazing, perhaps he took it to the next level, but I guess I'm just hoping people at least know the original version.

I was almost off balance by how nonchalant and chill that Eric Kim is in the video. His easy-going nature and "whole foods" vegetables had me doubting the dish the whole time. But when all that stuff came out of the oven and he assembled it. Great Scott! That's some damn good lookin' BiBimBap. How do you say, "Get in my belly!" in Korean? So well done.
