Three men have been found guilty of shooting a 20-year-old man dead "in cold blood" in Sheffield amid drug-related gang violence.
Following a seven-week trial at Sheffield Crown Court, Jabari Fanty, 19, Aaron Yanbak, 20 and Ricardo Nkanyezi, 20, were found guilty of the murder of Ramey Salem, who was gunned down in cold blood on November 16 2020.

@@gristlegripper3627 probably loads of things, and probably would have gotten away with much more, however, when it comes to murder, it’s a different kettle of fish, the resources are technology, along with the intelligence the police have at their disposal, not many get away with murder.

I know Aaron, Ricardo, Jabari, Ramey (and Rameys older brother) personally. Aaron had a small man complex that didn't fit in due to being of mixed race. The Pakistanis didn't want him but neither did the Turks he felt he had something to prove. Jabari was a bully, Ricardo, a always a nice well mannered pleasant individual. In a different area Ricardo could have been so much more. Jabari and Aaron aspired to be where they are at today. Although no-one deserves to lose their life in such a way, don't for a minute kid yourself into thinking that Ramey Salam wasnt involved in guns and drugs in the very same way and on another day things wouldn't have happened in the same way with a different gang getting the "result"

Ramey was always a pleasant and humble kid. The drug dealing in that area is a result of poverty and bad influences. Doesnt make them bad people. Although theres definitely a few sinister ones from that area I wouldn't have been sad to see get the ending which Ramey unfortunately got.

@@eldobromil9937 the thing that's gangs run rampant isn't exactly true. These are small groups of close friends and family of 6-8 people every one of them knows each other. They all interact over buying guns and drugs. It's not as simple as gang 1 gang 2 gang 3 and so on. They all serve a purpose to each other. Guns are easy to get, it's whether the quality is any good, whether they have been used before and of course price. There is no loyalty between them unless they are in the little clique of 6-8 people we are not talking blood and crips we are talking friends from school on the same housing estate.

Sentences are in the Sheffield Star now: Fanty and Yanbak 35 years, Nkanyezi 33 and Foote 30. All minimum so could do longer.
