@@georgedowns4034 Looking here, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Midlands_Railway#Services, it says it will extend Crewe - Derby to Nottingham over the course of the franchise, but not all the EMR improvements have started yet, even though some things have like journey times were cut, EMR Connect started, and the Intercity timetable was more cleaner
My thoughts: Today's announcer: Anne. A good variety. Why don't they say the coaches for some and not all? That SHOULD be normal. "A buffet counter service of hot and cold snacks is available on the train." Never heard that before. Should be "this service has onboard catering available." Shows a hot, steaming mug of tea Lots of platform alterations. What's the point of announcing the arrival of redirected trains? To not confuse passengers? Clearly recorded in the morning.
I think different TOCs use different announcements for catering. ‘A buffet service’ is pushing it a bit for CrossCountry though… it’s more a static trolley!
