I remember getting lost in the side streets off that road at 3:43 while looking for that car park on the right in late 2019. Had never been to Sheffield before and Google Maps certainly wasn't being my friend that day. Found it in the end after almost making the same mistake of turning right at the no right turn Great video mate!
Even Sheffielder's get lost in that part of the city centre, so no wonder you did. They've been doing alot of work around there, and add the timed bus gate, its never fun. I did spot you did visit Sheffield in your own vids BTW (I liked, but didn't comment. I try not to post often on other channels, as it can look like advertising your own channel) and thank you!
@@DashCamSheffield never worry about commenting on my channel. I remember some of those roadworks from when I was there, really doesn't look like much progress has been made!
Another good one that. Long time ago I had to deliver to that building on the left at Derek Dooley to Parkway junction (this is way back when it was new) head office had just got computers with the satellite image, as I couldn't find it a girl in the office told me "you can't miss it, it has a helicopter landing pad on the roof! Obviously I was not in a helicopter but you can see a round object sticking out from the top, just.
Sounds about right. Giving directions in Sheffield is awful. Used to work at the train station, got asked driving directions to Meadowhall....said it was easier to get to the M1 via the parkway and get off the next junction....just easier to explain!
5:49 that reminds me of the welsh hospital i visited as they are free parking, it took me 40 minutes to find a space even though it had 3 big cars and lots of small ones. Everyone was parked everywhere, but because its Wales they got parking tickets with a nice fine.
7:00 I actually cannot park at the Hallamshire. If I put my car bang in the middle of a bay my tyres on both sides touch the line. My car is 6ft 3" wide. The minimum recommended bay width is 7ft 9" so they've clearly ignored that recommendation. BTW my car is a common family vehicle.
I'm told by security that, if possible, park on the higher levels as the spaces are larger. The 207 (according to Parkers) is also 6ft3" wide including wing mirrors (they are big for a Super Mini). The Hospital was built in the 1970's, and the car park was probably built about the same time. The width restrictions are simply because of the support beams, otherwise they would half as many spaces....but nowadays, even cheap cars can be massive SUV's
Hey. I'm not gonna say my exact job, I work at the Hallamshire but not for the NHS. I have been trying for a driving job, but nothing has come up, especially recently.
From what I’ve seen is people are taking advantage of this.... yes they are only going out said amount of times but they are doing it much slower... really bad..
