AWESOME from the coach to field everything is just awesome i loved how coach comunicates with golies. Once again a great video, great coach the training ground is perfect and most important goalkeepers are just AWESOME
The club formed in 1820 as 'The Wednesday Cricket Club' as they used to play on wednesdays. Football was originally played to keep the team fit over winter. :)
@LiamTheSheffieldOwl How would you like me to re-edit the title? Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper training, or Sheffield Owls goalkeeper training? The title should not be too long because often the last portion of the title is concealed.
This still surprises me, how many people are not aware about Zumlaxoc Training Program (do a search on google), although many people improve their soccer skills with this training program. Thanks to my work buddy who told me about Zumlaxoc Training Program, I've improve the weakest part of my soccer game.
very basic, all technical and physical training. The goalkeeper knows exactly where every ball is going. No decision making or reactions/anticipation involved whatsoever
The reason why these Brits are better at soccer than Americans? Because they have extra time...that extra time is about the same amount of time as, I don't know, brushing maybe?
I really love that you put up videos like this! It gives us different ideas of which drills we should train. Good exercises but the goalkeepers have very little technique while getting up, running and diving. BECAUSE in goal you can't run from goalpost to goalpost
Great video. I particularly enjoyed the core workouts and the ladder drill at the end. I'll be sure my keepers know who to thank while they're suffering today.
@spootboot The club was a cricket club when it formed in 1820 as The Wednesday Cricket Club (named after the day of the week when they played their matches.) A meeting on the evening of Wednesday 4 September 1867 at the Adelphi Hotel established a footballing side to keep the team together and fit during the winter months. (Taken from Wikipedia.)
@merchant100 The best way to improve your goalie skills is both. Training with and playing matches. IMO, going to a gym would only get you stronger, but neither faster nor better goalkeeper. Greetings.
