Sheila Heti: Pure Colour & Alphabetical Diaries 

Chris, thank you so much for this video. I think these two books deserved this calm and articulated expression of how it moves the reader so deeply. I was shocked by the rush to give this a "1-star" or "2-star" rating. But it's top level, emotional art.

This one of the most beautifully insightful and thorough reviews I have listened from you - and that’s saying a lot given all the videos you have done thus far. It truly inspired me to go and purchase these two books. Her ability to synthesize sentences and spirituality into a coherent and whimsical package is nothing short of awe-inspiring. I was going to ask if you’d heard Michael Silverblatt’s interview with Heti, but you answered my question in the video! I’ve read both of these books. I loved Alphabetical Diaries, but I wasn’t so sure about Pure Colour - though now your enthusiasm makes me want to give it another go!

First time I heard of Sheila Heti. All right: sold! Now I only have to decide which of the two I should buy first . . . .
