@@KaiInMotion I love it's defensive stance as it swipes at and blocks the dog's playful nosing like a knight in shining armor fighting a beast. "finally...a worthy opponent. our battle will be LEGENDARY!"
this is fascinating honestly, its like shes almost studying the crab. laying her head on the sand just checkin the little guy out seeing how he moves and reacts
Right? Yet, people chose to ignore this, be indifferent to crab's suffering just to record a crappy "cute" vid on YT. What the hell is going on with this world…
@Mark Loftis and? Just because sth is done should legitimize it as a right thing to do? For centuries we had had slavery, no women rights, etc. These are just slaves and women, quit crying lol.
love how gentle Sheila is! lots of dogs dont know their own strength, but she can tell she's playing with something much smaller and more fragile than her-- she only touches the crab once, and otherwise just chomps the air above it. what a good pup :)
The Crab: " One of my ancient ancestor's died helping fight Heracles; and was immortalized by being given a constellation. So come on and bring it, black Dog! "
It's nice to see how the dog is mostly just curious about the little crab, observes, plays carefully and not really trying to hurt it. A cat would punch it a few times already and send it to concussion.
Actually I don’t know. I meet Sheila when I was traveling through Central America. Maybe another user can help us. My dear viewers: what breed is Sheila?
My dog looks just like this except there is a white stripe going from his nose to between his eyes. And a white T shape on his chest. He's a pit and lab mix I think. I haven't got his DNA results but will update!
Sheila: "Hey, let's play!" Crab: THE ENEMY IS TOO LARGE TO BE AFFECTED BY ATTACKS, AND TOO FAST TO RUN FROM. EVEN BURROWING IS INEFFECTIVE. ONE BITE FROM THOSE HORRIBLE JAWS WOULD KILL ME INSTANTLY. THE ONLY THING THAT I HAVE LEFT IS TO ACCEPT MY DEATH WITH DIGNITY, AND DIE WITH VALOR. I WILL FACE MY DEATH HEAD-ON, WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN!
That's really interesting, it's as though the crab knows the dog is only playing and doesn't actually try to attack. Dogs really are something special with their overall calming energy.
This video seems to inspire people: I get a lot of comments of what the dog und the crab might think and say. Could we write a little epic short story about the dog & the crab and what they say, think or do? And what probably happens after that video?
As I feel the ground rumble, Im caught off guard by the sudden light that envelops me. "A small earthquake, perhaps?", my initial assumption vanishes in an instant as a monstruous leg at least twice the size of mine swipes at me, now that the safety of my hiding place has been compromised. Quickly realising my life is in mortal danger, I resort to my fast legs as I crawl away from this horrible 4 legged beast, but alas, no matter how fast I run, the monster blocks all directions I attempt to flee towards by effortlessly moving in front of me. I ponder what to do for a few moments and to my surprise, the horrific animal lays there in front of me, watching. "Perhaps it's tired!" I think to myself, as it did move around a lot to keep up with my incredible speed. I decide to bolt it in an attempt to leave this nightmare behind and for a few seconds I feel the taste of victory. "It's not giving chase... Im free!" Oh but how naive I was. Perhaps seeing it as an act of defiance, the beast strikes me with the wet part of it's face and I feel a strange sensation. It's wet. "An old forgotten sea creature maybe?" However these thoughts don't stay in my mind long, for the monster is on the offensive! With lightning fast attacks, I can only watch in horror, but also a slight hint of amazement as the creature bites several times all around me, each of those attacks spelling death. I stand my ground and it stares at me for a while, maybe having me considered a worthy foe, so it lays in front of me once more. "Is this a test?" I wonder to myself while we stare each other down. Well, if the gods want me to prove my strength and resolve this day, then I shall put on a performance worthy of the highest praises. I ready my claws for what could very well be my final confrontation. The 4 legged monster seems to sense how ready I am, as it starts smashing the ground with it's padded feet towards me. "Such strength!" I evade as many of the stomps as I can but the monster uses the opportunity to deliver a quick strike to my body. Im facing a powerful opponent indeed, but Im a sturdy warrior myself, so a single strike won't be enough to take me out. I get into a more defensive stance and it starts using it's biting technique again, possibly eating the air all around me, perhaps wanting to suffocate me, no wonder this ancient being is so strong, it's powers must be unrivaled in the land!. It lays in front of me one more time, attempting to find openings in my defensive stance, but I give it none, no such luck. My blood boils with excitement, and as the gods watch us fight with strange devices, likely born from their powers and knowledge of the infinite, I think to myself: "I will return home alive". -- Chronicles of Crabastian The Great. Probably on the ball park for what was happening.
Imagine settling into your new home on (or rather, IN) the beach when suddenly a giant four-footed Toho monster digs you up and starts chasing you down the beach with a seafood dinner on its mind!
Very interesting how the crab seems to move less and less as the interaction goes on. I don't know much about crabs, so maybe it's just tiring out or entering some sort of shock, but I wonder if it is capable of sensing the dogs non-threatening intentions.
wow she way she plays him with and such care and love is amazing my dogs do the exact same snapping motion with me when we play rough they never actually bite me they just pretend and its so cute seeing him do that with the crab
