I’m 64. I buy from Shein all the time. You’ll see things that only young ones would wear, bare midriffs etc, so you have to look at all the items. And you must take your measurements and then check the measurements for each item you’re thinking of buying. They vary enormously. Once you do that you’ll have more chance of ordering the correct size. I’ve ordered from a 0XL to a 5XL. Don’t think that because you bought a 2XL last time that you’ll always order a 2XL. I’ve bought heaps of t shirts, trousers, nighties, swimsuits, jumpers and cardigans, sweat pants and tops and even home and living gadgets. They have lovely silky long sleeve blouses that would pair with trousers or skirts etc. So have fun.
I'm 49 and I've bought from shein twice... I am happy with the clothes look but I hate the fabric. It's all poly unless you search cotton and even then you must check the fabric Material on the listing because they have this cotton/poly mic. But the size measurements are very close,not the size like 1x 2x etc
I’m with bettybingham, Shazzadut and wicked bunny, I’m 66 and I’ve ordered many tops and bike shorts from Temu and have been satisfied. I’ll have to give Shein a try. I’m most comfortable in bike shorts outside…in the house I wear comfy loose shorts, with loose tops. I love pockets too Misty. I like the dresses you received. I might order one or two tops to start. I’m sticking with Temu.
You & I are the same size & I am 57. I have a really hard time trying new things especially when the item looks so cute on their small models. It’s nice to see someone like me, trying them in so I have some idea. I have very sensitive ears so I don’t buy the jewelry on line unless it is nickel free or real gold. Thank you for being you!
Misty please don't be embarrassed to wear whatever you please. You are absolutely beautiful. Those arms have held your children, your husband and everyone you love. They have held your pets and worked to provide for your family. I'm too big for anything temu sells so I'm not just blowing smoke. Love yourself the way we do....just the way you are ❤️
Since you’ve been stepping out of your comfort zone, I decided to do the same! I was only wearing 3/4 length or long sleeves, because of the crepey skin on my upper arms. Now I’m wearing short sleeves and feeling great! It’s so much cooler and more comfortable in the summer🥰 Thank you for these great try on videos! I know you’re helping others❤️
The bags are great for storing linens in ❤ I use them to keep curtains, sheet sets, table clothes, pillow covers...all folded, bundled and dust free ( sheer curtains NOT sliding all over in a closeted mess anymore!)
I like the colour striped dress the best. The black and white stiped dress has horizontal stripes on the front. These make them look more boxed. The black top with the coloured stripes looked good too. Thank you for showing and sharing with us.❣️

I was eyeing those striped dresses (why is it so hard to find vertical stripes!!??) and I think they both looked great on you-- just oversized and breezy. I love Shein's cotton graphic t-shirts, but other than those, I have struggled with the weird sleeping bag material and square cuts. Their jewelry, on the other hand, is amazing and sooo affordable. My daughter use to order from Shein. You definitely get what you pay for. I’ve never ordered from them, she stopped after reading an article about the treatment and wages of the people working in their factories. I really don’t know myself as I’ve never researched it. Your outfits are not boring. You always have interesting outfits and accessories. I think the shien shorts were good except for not having pockets and the little cap sleeve is a good look for you and you would get use to it. I have never ordered from Shien because I found Temu and love it. I have been happy with all the clothes from there. I am not real keen on the polyester but it comes in the prettiest bright patterns. The other common fabric is nice and soft as are the nightgowns. And Temu has strawberry earrings too! Thanks for sharing. I appreciate you taking time to educate us.

I'm afraid of getting "that fabric", so I've avoided ordering from both Temu and Shein. I liked the boxy striped dress and the flower shorts the best. The last outfit made me think of the old fashioned bathing outfits from the Victorian Era. Thank you for doing these try-ons and for your positive attitude!
I liked the blue striped dress more than the colored stripe dress on you! Your clothing choices are very cute! Loved the Daisy shorts on you also. I prefer the natural fiber clothes, like cotton, linen etc!!
Being older than you by many moons, and having worked in fashion when I was younger, one of the best tips I ever got was find a person who sews. My mom did as long as she could but when she couldn't anymore I found a tailor lady near me. They can do so many things like putting in pockets, going from long sleeve to 3 quarter sleeve in summer, hemming, putting darts in the back of pants and on and on. If you feel more comfortable with some sizes that are too big else where you can always get it taken up. You are beautiful and awesome and don't ever forget it!!

I like the colorful striped dress and the daisy shorts outfit is really cute. I think the last shirt would look great in a smaller size. My biggest issue, literally, is my belly. It's so hard for me to wear some of these style shirts without looking preggo! LOL Really enjoying this step out of the box series!

I’ve had pretty good luck with their clothes except one dress (shudder). I’ll be 64 this week and hoping to retire to the gulf coast in a year or so. I don’t own any sleeveless clothing at all, none, not one, because I too hate my upper arms. Time to start loving them, and not worrying about what anyone else might think. Thanks for showing us plus size women in my 50s that we too can look "cute" in our clothes. I thought most of the outfits were great, but without pockets you probably wouldn't wear them. Try bike shorts with pockets under your dresses. Game changer with extra coverage 😊

I find that both sites, for me, are a hit and miss. I have, however, had better success with Shein clothing but we have to remember you get what you pay for, lol. The accessories are great from both though. Great haul. So love your honesty on your reviews and your personality is fantastic.
I have also ordered from both. I find both to be equally hot and miss in terms of quality. I do rely a lot on reviews and feedback before I order (especially with sizing and fabric type). Love that you are reaching beyond your comfort level. Bravo! 🎉

If you sew or know someone who does, might I recommend making in-seam pockets in the shorts or whatever garment you want them? I did this with a bunch of LouLaRoe dresses. I bought some lining remnants that coordinated well with the dress colors, opened up the side seams and inserted pockets I made. I made the pockets just big enough to hold my iPhone. Appreciate all the time you spend and reviews you give. 🫶

You said the lil stripe washed you out...and you are right, You are to light completed to wear the rainbow tiny stipes. The striped dress is something else with the wide stripes of color...now that looks nice on you. I also like the black shorts and the flowered shorts with the black top. Hi Misty. Thank you for your honest videos! Love you in the daisy shorts outfit. I'm not a fan of the multi colored stripe dress but I thought it was too big on you. I liked the blue striped dress except for the horizontal bit like area. It would be better if the neck was scoop or vee-neck in my opinion. The flounce black shorts were cute but like you I prefer pockets!! I liked the daisy earrings best, they're fun!!! The peach/coral top with eyelet cap sleeves was adorable on you, really cute! The only ones I didn't like was the first blouse black with the strips and I didn't like the last blouse you had on at the end of the video. But I loved all of the rest of them. I have been a plus size my whole life. But as I get older I find I'm in a fashion rut. But you have inspired me to jump out of my comfort zone. Just have to say that the blue stripe dress reminds me of the uniform I had to wear when I went to school for Nursing. I buy from both and I really believe they are probably the same company. If you stick to the measurements, yours and theirs and you read the reviews and item description you can’t go wrong with either. TEMU has the edge with free postage over $15 purchase. Love them both. Graphic tees are fabulous at Shein, especially for plus size.

Gail here ! Honey, my life just got better after I turned 50 ! The kids were grown, my grand kids were 6 and 8 so I could travel more and shop more . We started volunteering . It was a great time . Enjoy it ! Now at 71 I have a lot of problems with my back and headaches, but I still go when I can go . Life is good ! Oh, yeah , I loved the clothes you chose to keep . The strawberry earrings are so cute! I think Shein and TEMU clothes are very comparable with their quality. It is always hit or miss on fabrics and sizing. That’s my experience anyway 😊

I love the Shein colour striped dress, not so much the blue one. You look super cute in the colour one 😊. The daisy shorts were lovely too as well as most of the little frilly tops. I've ordered from Shein before, but wasn't as lucky as you. Things were cheap looking that I ordered, and sizes were so bad. Love your videos!

I've just found your channel and appreciate your honest review. I've ordered from Shein and Temu and just haven't found the right size yet with Temu. I don't think I have kept any clothing (love everything else) from there and order from Shein all the time. After hearing your review and seeing the comments, I'm going to give Temu another try. I agree about pockets -- I love them. Since Bloomchick has entered the market, it seems Shein has more things with pockets, so that's good. I feel Bloomchick is too expensive for what you get. Just my opinion. Thanks again for your review -- I'll give Temu another try.
The blue and white strips looks good. I'm a plus size but I was born with lyphadema and lypodema so I have appts of trouble getting clothes but your a great inspiration
As a plus size woman I understand the foibles of our bodies....Trust me on this: The striped dresses look great and would look good belted....Keep the dresses and get a narrow to medium stretchy belt maybe black or navy with a shiny buckle feature....would look fabulous! I've purchased some gorgeous tops from Temu and a pair of white skinny jeans from Shein which are great....I have another Shein order of jeans and tops coming from Shein and am hoping I like them and they fit....I've dropped about 40 lbs since Sept and am now purchasing a new wardrobe that won't cost the earth because I'm still losing weight...btw I just turned 71.....I love your honesty and the video!! Well done!
