Thanks for the review. Shelby Oaks has definitely peaked my interest, especially after Mike Flanagan came on as a producer and the fact that Neon is going to be the distributor for the film. It'll be interesting to see where Chris Stuckmann's career goes from here.
Fantasia was a great showcase for his debut. Chris coming out to greet everyone while we were waiting in line was a highlight. He seems like a pretty cool and down-to-earth guy. Feel free to share your thoughts when you see it!
you guys have to understand that a film critic is going to enjoy a movie to a much different extent than the average horror fan or even horror fanatic, the only way to know if your going to truly like it is to watch it
@@nsaurabh25 6/10 is not bad for a debut feature film! They rated it above average which definitely should be seen as a win for Chris. Slashfilm gave it 8/10. Bloody Disgusting gave it 3,5/5. Most people finds it to be good/okay. What matters now is that he keeps the momentum and keeps improving imo (I'm not the biggest Stuckmann fan but I'm just glad to see someone follow their dreams)
It looks terrible it annoys me people think they can just get behind a camera and make horror film... it just shows a lack of understanding and respect for the genre. Real fans know the difficulty of making horror
How do you know it looks terrible? There's no trailer. Unless you were at this film festival, the only footage anyone has seen is behind the scenes footage.
