@@christopherbingham5092Yeah, it’s not like Howard, especially early Howard, was in any way worthy of respect. Like the creators of the show clearly seemed to feel bad for him, but Sheldon over Howard the perverted creep any day. Raj isn’t much better, Leonard has his moments and his pursuit of Penny can get rather creepy, Sheldon was the least misogynistic, which personally gave him points in my book and meant I always rooted for him over Howard.

@@kittensareawesome2789 umm Leonard or Raj have done nothing to be mysagonistic. Raj is actually the most romantic one of them all. He said stupid things while drunk already but he was drunk so yeah. Howard is also not really a misagonyst, just a creep. That doesn't make you sexist though.

@@ethandenton3393 No! If you watch the show you would know that Sheldon says things in a bit of a round about way because of how he rationalizes the world. The fact he believes he’s good at what is being done but not that it’s worth doing in itself means he thinks Howard should apply himself else where. Watch the show. Like actually Watch and pay attention.

@@zeeshanismail7768rarity is not a strong qualifier for accomplishment. It took a lot more PhDs worth of work to put a man in space than the man in space. Sooner or later being an astronaut will be more common than having a PHD. That's not speaking down on astronauts just the argument specifically.

@@ethanv7330yes eventually it will be more common but consider this in current times being an astronaut in space is pure torture as shown in this show everything from eating, sleeping and working became hell because of zero gravity . About 75% of all astronauts have taken medication during shuttle missions for conditions such as motion sickness, headache, sleeplessness, and back pain. Other common conditions include minor trauma, burns, dermatological and musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory illnesses and genitourinary problems. yes it takes alot of work and educational qualification to send someone to space it takes equal will power to not go mad during that period.

I'm a male who has to order boys size medium gloves. It is a blessing because I'm insanely good at working on tools and doing the tiniest details at work. It is a curse because it's impossible to find good gloves without making them myself or spending an excessive amount.

Howard is an aerospace engineer. His work is actually applicable and valuable. Howard had so many "You're a cashier" (Seinfeld) moments but never voiced them.

for a physicist (who tries to understand the laws of universe) dont think highly of someone whose only purpose is to use these laws of nature. there is a saying, id rather be a nobel prize winner who unified all fundamental forces of nature than an engineer who invented a velcro. not saying velcro isnt valuable or pointless.

Knowing something and applying it are not ahead and behind. Both require different kind of caliber. Bruce Lee has said it too, knowing isn't enough, we must apply. Willing isn't enough, we must do. Just because you know something doesn't mean you are skilled enough to apply it. If you have played chess, you can understand this very well. One can know all the basic rules of chess. Does that mean it makes him a top player? Absolutely not. World champions devised strategies which is the application of that knowledge (or rules). Those who take application lightly don't really understand how technology is developed which has made their lives so much better and that same technology has also allowed them to do more research.

Engineers don't apply the theories of physics directly it is first applied by an applied physicist then the engineers figure out other things it can be used in or to recreate something that an applied physicist created

He’s got a point. Compare that with his criticism on how Penny does HER job. Those a specific criticisms as to what she does wrong. He’s clearly never insulted his ability as an engineer, as he goes to him from time to time with technical questions for support, so he trusts him to do the job. It’s really clear in that episode he visits the lab and calls them all Oompa Loompas of science. He doesn’t give them much value, but he knows they can do what they’re supposed to.
