It's not murder if the fetus is already dead. Too many women are being forced to carry dead fetuses to term with no regard to her own health. Dead fetuses turn septic... The majority of abortions this country is due to medical complications. Aborting a healthy, viable fetus is repugnant but forcing a woman to carry a dead fetus to term is insane.

My heart breaks for Lauren Miller for having to suffer such hardship in trying to save not only her unborn son's life, but her own in obtaining abortion healthcare so far from her home. Her courage in speaking about such a private matter so publicly will, I hope, inform and educate the public on how these draconian abortion bans are hurting women and their families. It is encouraging to see more and more states securing abortion rights through codification or ballot initiatives, and I hope this work will continue to provide all American women equal footing when it comes to making decisions about their own reproductive healthcare.

Shouldn’t we at least be honest and consistent about what it is that is being aborted? This woman, advocating abortion, said she was in danger of losing her unborn “son.” If it is your son when you want him to be born healthy, isn’t it also your son if you decide to abort him? How can the distinction of whether he is your son or part of your body depend on whether you want him or not? Nothing in reality works that way. Nothing.

Of course the stories are true why do you think groups of women are suing the state of Texas the state of Idaho the state of Mississippi pretty much every red state with abortion miscarriage care which is abortion care some of the women almost died and many lost their future fertility why is the doctors don't want to face 50 years in prison or hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines for helping women look it up look at the lawsuits they're all online

We seem to be at the mercy of a rogue (and somewhat corrupt) Supreme Court majority of right-wing extremists who have now given the green light to bump stocks which may now be used in future mass shootings. This is what happens when extremists are placed into power. We needed to learn this the hard way, and now we have a long road ahead to dig ourselves out of this mess. God help us all!

@brianpulliam8206 During the past year I have watched the documentary "The Janes" several times and wondered about all the stories yet to be told of how women have navigated obtaining abortion healthcare, especially in red states with draconian abortion bans. It is heartening to see so many states now including abortion access on ballot initiatives, so state-by-state this right can slowly be restored to women throughout the country. It's shameful and appalling in the year 2024 that so many women are struggling to receive basic reproductive healthcare in America.
