This segment highlights that sometimes incoming entrepreneurs could be more aware than the investors. They are not competing with sugary drinks, they are selling probiotic drinks. The goal is not to offer taste, but health benefits. A good range of products.

In India people are ready to eat junks by paying 500 but they hesitate to drink/eat healthy by paying 150. Probiotic drinks are not simple juice, that it should cost 50 bucks, I feel 150-200 is very much reasonable.

one thing I like about shark tank is that the advise they give is priceless. if a person never goes to shark tank , simply listens to their comments both positive and negative, one can become a good entrepreneur. the thing about Kanji is very true. India already has a age old recipe for a fermented drink. India consumes fermented food on a very regular basis like Idli, Dosa Dhokla, kanji ect. all of these are "Fermented" foods. getting an expensive fermented food by copying what sells in a completely different country with a different kind of taste palate does not make any sense. In Jaipur you will get kanji vade which is a bowl full of the fermented liquid and 2 dal vadas dipped in it for just Rs.20 !! if the purpose is to consume fermented food that is good for health, kanji vade does the job in rs. 20 !! why would I spend 10 times that price for a similar kind of " fermented" drink that comes out of a bottle !! India has known about fermented food for ages. the easiest probiotic recipe i learned from my grandmother was to soak leftover rice in water with some yogurt in it overnite and consume it in the morning. Excellent probiotic. no need of these fancy Kombucha's. We have our own recipes of pickles which is very similar to Kimchi !! its basically vegetables, salt and chillies all stuffed in a jar and left out to ferment. our regular pickles are almost the same recipe. infact we make ours better by adding methi and mustard seeds .

These sharks are not very knowledgeable. Ashneer is extremely arrogant and does not have much knowledge outside finance (or charging 24% interest rate - which I believe is unethical).
