Sorrow and Bliss is my pick for the Women's Prize this year. I absolutely loved this book.

It’s phenomenal, and genuinely hilarious. It’s touching, it’s heartbreaking, but it’s incredibly funny Incredibly well balanced, shockingly relatable. A triumph.

I have loved all of Nina Stibbe's books, she just is very, very funny and a sharp and truthful observer of everyday life

This is the best book I have read in YEARS! I crave more from Meg Mason. If I were wealthy, I would buy a copy for every woman in my life, but instead I will have to resort to simply spreading the word. Thank you Meg Mason and I look forward to many more novels. I adored "You Be Mother" as well. I felt such unyielding compassion for the two main characters. I wanted to tell Phyl she was doing the right thing, always, and not to doubt herself and I wanted to tell Abi that she was a good, good mother and not to ever give up, but also to really think before she acts!

Just bought her book because of the Women’s Prize shortlist. I can’t wait to read it.
