8:21 icouldnt understand why the weakside wingers defender is over there. His one of leg stays in the painted zone other leg outside. If he goes there he never goes on time while skip pass to his man.
It is in Pack Line D. He is teaching the Pack variation of Man on Man which sets up the help position off-the-ball as default. Very good for Youth Basketball.

This is the Pack Line variation of traditional Man defense, which has off-ball defenders one-pass away starting in help rather than denial. He is not teaching anything wrong, he is just teaching this variation, which is a useful defense for youth basketball as it eliminates the extra step of help-recover and creates more robust/automatic interior defense.
