The true reality of war is scaring. That man must have faced terrible shell shock. A lot of them were called cowards for having PTSD which they did not understand. Every veteran deserves some kind of respect.
20 million died, out of all he was one of the remaining. Imagine all the horrors he had seen, all his comrades get shot by guns and tanks. This guy fought for his family, his country and for his people so see a better future. May god bless this man for the stuff he had seen. He was a soldier who fought the first war, namely WW1, and most of them died and his commander had to survive, and he was a man who fought and he fought with his blood and soul to win.
Just remember when you feel week and want to be as strong as a ww1 or 2 soldier just remember people in the war couldn’t even handle the war that’s why ptsd exist

Explanation: in ww1 there was fairly common disorders called either shell shock or ptsd. This footage shows a French shell shocked soldier after the war with people surrounding him showing him parts of his uniform back then they thought people were just being cowards but it was their health and they show him his uniform because it was treatment for his ptsd and to get used to everything.

It was because he wore it telling that it is not a helmet he is most likely an officer and had his own men that he led killed in front of him and it wasn't even his fault when the superiors ordered him to tell his men to charge and sense he wore it during battles it reminded him of the war and how terrible it was just like how a certain object reminds you of something.
For those who don't know, this is called PTSD also know as post-traumatic stress disorder. It happens what someone remembers something from the past and makes you have flashbacks
My great grandpa died in ww1 he was forced to go to war leaving behind my great grandma and their kids, and due to this death the were left in poverty, hearing this story from my mother left me feeling so bad for what they went through, my great grandma passed away back in 1982. At the time of his death he was 23, rip great grandpa and grandma u will be missed, atleast you are in a better place now. ❤❤❤

@@NorbertoBorrego and the cold war was followed up by WW2 because tensions rised against the USSR I heard it was because the US did not require the help of the USSR and they felt betrayed after we annexed Japan. Then more wars were followed up by that as more tension rised.
