such a wonderful person and actress that deserves so much more. She had a lot of unnecessary pressure to deal with, but she did the very best she could. She is my favorite actress ever because she is a really strong woman!!! We love you Shelley D forever!!!💌🤟🏁🎆
I love the true beauty of the woman from older days, nowadays everyone looks alike and there's no character or anything to distinguish from each other. Shelley and Goldie had that natural beauty!
I had no idea she produced "even cowgirls get the blues" ! I LOVED THAT MOVIE! I have been in love with Duvall since the Shinning and now after all these years discovered yet something new about her. What a treat.
Not really. He knows he's miced up. Any full hearted clapping and unpleasant noises will follow. He extends his air claps beyond the audience so he really is showing his admiration of her. The interview itself does nothing to show he is phoning it in.
Good grief Tom Snyder is going like 100 MPH here changing topics almost at random!I wish he had slowed down and let Shelley talk! Ugh I love listening to her talk about her movies & she seems so sweet.. but it's hard to get past Tom & his bad interview style here.. Rest in Peace Shelley.. I'm so sorry things were pretty bad for you at the end. You're free now.
Shelley was an extraordinary talent, a unique beauty, but most importantly, a sincerely sweet and kind hearted person. You can sense that in every interview she’s ever done. What an inspiration. Rest in peace, Shelley.
Imagine having to force yourself to cry every day for 9 months straight!! That can really take a toll on the body and age you a bit. She still looks good here for having to go through all of those emotions. She had said being on set actually scared her many times. She was truly fearful during many of the scenes. damn.
She sounds so upbeat and easy going. I can never forget her role in The Shining. Was perfect in Popeye and Brewster McCloud. She was a natural, I think things just seem to work out for her, she was so free spirited.
I've been procrastinating for a couple of days about taking a job in another country, and Shelley Duvall has just said 'Be brave' about jumping into the unknown. I'll take the job. Of course, if I get fired in two months' time it will be all her fault, not mine.
Terry Gilliam almost broke her neck and people are still claiming Kubrick was the bad guy. Kubrick was a meticulous professional. Gilliam has had chaos and dangerous accidents on many of his films.
RIP, Ms. Duvall. Beyond her beauty and charm, listen to her speak. She has a large vocabulary and employs it gracefully. She does not hem or haw, or say "like" constantly, or "so", or "ya know." She speaks better than Tom Snyder. Do any such people still exist?
One of Robin Williams greatest performances was the movie Popeye, and Shelly Duvall was uncannily accurate as Olive Oyl! It was casting genius, as was Robin Williams as Popeye. I never hear anyone talking about that movie, but everyone in it were ringers for the cartoon character they portrayed.
She is a very Talented Actress there is nobody that could have played Wendy, I am sorry that she had such a hard time with Kubrick but I believe he was able to see something in her no matter what anyone thinks even Stephen King his opinion does not matter he is only an Author.
