I've never ever heard that Miss Winters was jaded, or bitchy, or mean to her fans. I meet the great lady once at the French Quarter in West Hollywood in 89 and she was charming, beautiful and so so sweet. I was eating lunch with my than bf and of all people in the world to sit at the next table, the great Shelley Winters. I had no idea I was starring. She put her menu down, looked straight at me and said. "Sweetie, close your mouth. They charge extra for starring." I laughed than apologized and told her how much I loved her. "I LOVE, when men love me. " she replied. She was heaven. A true lady and Star. God Bless her.
This was a great story of your relationship with Shelly Winters. It seems she was quite lonely in her later years and you filled a much needed void. I am sensing that you were lonely as well. Thanks for sharing Jordan and Happy Birthday!

Your Shelley Winters' story was very touching. I worked with her on "SOB" in the late '70s. She was a handful and lots of fun. Thanks for remembering her.
I loved her in 'S.O.B.' Everyone was good in that. I think more than a couple of us would love to read you expand on your comment that she was a lot of "fun" on that film.
I was just visiting Shelley's find a grave site and saw someone left a sweet comment about you in the virtual flowers section about how proud she would be of you. :) I just wanted to let you know. Made me smile and think of this vlog.
That's so sweet from you to , mean regarding Shelly and her good friend Jordan , just incredible , thank you for sharing your experience , stay safe and well !
I was very touched when I saw that she donated her Oscar to the Anne Frank house - I thought it showed what a classy lady she was - she was one of the last old Hollywood starlets -
Starlet? The first thing I ever saw her in was Lolita, w/ James Mason. - she was NO starlet then! But she was a great actress. I just recently saw her when she was young & very pretty. cheers
We always used to see Shelley Winters with her daughter all over the place usually going to sales. She always seemed friendly and nice to me. If you live in L.A your bound to see all sorts of people :) .
Wow again ! I'm sitting here at home watching a few of you vlogs and every one I've chosen to view has been more awesome than the previous. I really enjoyed this and I can tell that Shelley saw something very special in you as she welcomed you into her private world. You should feel very honored. Thanks again for sharing.
It is amazing that Shelly Winters opened up to you. I know it is always hard for movie stars to make just friends with people because most people want things out of them. But you and she obviously gave each other friendship. Someone to talk to and hang out with, with no strings attached. I've always loved Shelly Winters. I read her book. She had such a colorful life. She lived in a time that it seemed, all the movie stars were born. An amazing actress. I loved seeing her home. The fact that she bought a place, not for just herself, not a showy place, but a place for her parents and her daughter, says a lot about her. I'm so glad she opened up to you. The photos she gave you are a treasure. I hope to hear more about her from you. Thank you for sharing such a personal and private relationship with us.
Thank you for sharing those special times and items you had from Shelly. Not everybody has had someone who would be willing to share time and talent to help them along in life. You had a very special person help you there, Jordan. “Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God”. Matt. 5:8. You got to see that pure heart in her and it reflected onto you, and thus we see you pass it on. 👍🏻
Jordan, I love hearing your stories of you and Shelley Winters friendship! You can always learn from older actresses; especially her! She would have given you the connections in Hollywood, but she just wanted a peaceful life, with friends! I'm so thankful that you were here's! Unforgettable Vlog!
OMG!!! I love this hole entire vlog!!! Best one ever !!!! And Diana Ross is my all time favorite performer 😍 so cool that you saw her at the grocery store!!! Wow !!!! Thank you so much for posting this. I love all The stories !!!!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Mabel Rodriguez last year there was a Diana Ross book here on RU-vid on an audiobook... but I can't remember if it was her voice narrating or not , as I can't recall if it was a biography or autobiography but I thoroughly enjoyed it . You might want to look for it here
It is really wonderful you became friends with Shelly Winters! I was a fan of hers and really liked her personality and attitude to put people in their place. She had a strong character But a big heart. Leo is an awesome sign anyway. Very nice gifts you received on your birthday from Shelly. But, I'm sure the memories of your friendship and time together mean the most to your heart.
You've experienced the real Hollywood, great stories. Super that you still honor Shelley, she was just a person like anyone else and so many people get blinded by celebrity. Good job.
What awesome memories for you, I can here the emotion in your voice. I'm sure she was a wonderful lady full of stories to tell. I'm glad you got to share part of your life with her. Maybe that is why you are so kind to others!
This was such a great video. Thanks for sharing your memories of Shelly. She seemed like such a sweet, sweet lady. I loved hearing your stories about her.
Great video Jordan so interesting and nice to see your shared memories. I love or loved Shelley Winters and can imagine her being a very lovely, firm but fair lady full of life and laughter. x
One of my favorite vlogs. Shelly lives on through you. Just shows that the people who are older than us can teach us a lot and the elderly deserve are respect and care.

+The Smoove Piper she was very sweet in her later years. She always loved when someone recognized her and made a big deal about her. She would actually have a full conversation
Daze with Jordan the Lion ohhh wowwww that is so sweet she will always live in our hearts and those of us who loved her and her movies anniversary of her passing just past January18
Just discovered your vlogs not long ago . Catching up on some of your old ones and this one is one of my very favorites !! Love the Shelley Winters stories.
Ive watched this vlog several times. I love your story about Shelley. How awesome that you two found each other. I can see why she liked you so much. Did you ever meet her daughter?
Gotta love the puppy!!! He's so cute! My friend lived in the condo below Lana Turner in Century City. His besties were Diane Ladd and Patsy Kelly! Hope you got it!
I always loved her. I know this is an old vlog, but I really enjoyed it Jordan. Would love to meet you sometime, but I am not in LA so much any more and with all of this nonsense going on it might be a while. Keep up the good work man. You are a kind and lovely guy! God Bless, Derek
What a wonderful lady!!! I saw her once at an Elvis show in sept 1970..Elvis introduced her he said shes won an oscar i hate her ha ha just kidding!! I love all her interviews!!!!!!! What a sweetie!!!❤
Jordan I am a Hollywood history buff and have learned even more since watching your channel. You were mentioning something about Natalie Wood dating Elvis. I watched the Natalie wood doc and the way her sister told it was Natalie wood was not into Elvis and her mother was not protective! She was a stage mother. Natalie wood worked from the time she was a child and suffered life long physical and mental traumas that we won’t go into.Let’s just say that Kirk Douglas might have something to do with that. I watched your vlog on Jean Spangler and I completely believe that Kirk Douglas was the father of her child and might have been the reason she disappears just sayin. I’ll shut up now! 😅
This week I just happened to watch her on two half hour episodes of Dick Cavett. She knew so many people in her long career and had some great stories. Jordan, you were so lucky to have met her and been a friend in her life.
Wow that is amazing!! Thanks Jordon!! I am thankful that I found your channel!! Catching up with your past vlogs and and learning so many fascinating info.
Awwwwwww that is wonderful you where friends with the great Shelley winters , I remember seeing her on merve griffin on tv in the 70’s you r blessed to be friends with her great actress she was
Seasons... we all have seasons in our life. Perhaps by threw time you met Miss Shelly Winters, she had been at a better time in her life. What a great memory you have JTL! You are a good kid with a good heart! I would have asked her about what it was like to work with Montgomery Clift and Liz Taylor in A Place in the Sun. She was excellent in that movie!
I watch all of your videos i guess u might say im a fan of yours. Lol 58 year old fan. Anyhoo your fun to watch you lift my spirits. Hug jah for me... God Bless 🙏🍃🙏😘😀 oh i loved shelly winters i loved watching her movie as a kid very popular. I grew up in pacoima california. 12601 mineola street. Moved to texas at 14. ✌your taking me back to my childhood. My grandparents lived in hollywood my daddy still lives in burbank and i have family in chatsworth park. Much love your way....
Kinda choked me up. I remember a later vlog you did about Robert Blake showing up at her birthday party and I think you let Shelly know he was there and she said, “Who invited him!?” Lol. I bought an autograph album a few years ago and it was full of 70s and 80s actors. There were a few from Ms Winters and she would write a note as well as provide an autograph. Martin Landau. Wow!
You seem like a cool dude! I just found you after looking for any newly found interviews with Kurt Cobain. Your video going to his old house came up. I was good friends with Kurt from 1987 through the end but after Nirvana made it big I rarely saw him. That would have been the next house he lived in after leaving the Olympia apt with Tracy. He bounced around until they got paid from Geffen. It's kind of cool to see the house he lived in from the outside. Cheers John
I once left a half of a Jerry's Deli turkey sandwich in the back of a friends car... oh boy did did he hate me after a week... he said it smelled a bit worse in his car everyday until he had to "investigate." Thanks for sharing, it's stories like this that make me miss LA.
I really enjoyed you sharing your wonderful memories of your good pal Thee great actress Shelly Winters. I only ever heard good things about her. (And I’ll tell you something Jorden, people who say negative things about others are usually the ones who won’t look in a mirror of truth, you know what I mean?). Also, something completely different: the Andy Warhol inspired art piece: I believe that second influence is originally from a speaker ad campaign in the late 70’s by for MAXELL Audio Cassette. Fun fact..
Hey Jordan, you should definitely write a book about your adventures with Shelly. That would be awesome. Have you read "Miss D and Me"? It's about an assistant of Bette davis and about her time she had with her and helping her for about a decade it's a very good read.
When I spin a ball I use my finger that is next to my pinky. For me it just works better. What do you shoot all your videos with Jordan? Love your videos!! 🙏
Your reminiscences about Shelley Winters...very touching and thoughtful. I'm curious to know if you know anything about Shelley's relationship with her daughter. Also, were you able to attend either a funeral or memorial service for Shelley?
That's what is happening here in Florida. The old homes and buildings are buildings being bulldozed for idiotic condos and cookie cutter mc mansions. So sad..... Glad hers was saved. I'm actually working to save and purchase an old historic home down here now. And her NYC 'tude....., that place can bring out the worst in anyone. Especially back then. Most likely, it was the place, not the person.❤
What a fantastic nostalgia trip and a lovely story to turn into a movie in my opinion. If you directed that film, who would you want to play you and Shelley Winters?
This was really cool . Thank you for sharing 😊 oh btw . what happened to the story of the “ Tacos Villa Corina “ Story . Are you speaking of the Tacos Villa Corona in Atwater Villiage ? On Glendale Bl . ? Because if so , I live in Atwater Villiage and I can relate on the not so great food at “ Tacos Villa Corona “ lol Peace Out ✌️
I've always been a great fan of Shelley's. I loved her in The Night of the Hunter and the one with Montgomery Cliff. The name of that movie always slips my old mind. Didn't she die in water in both those films?
Shelley Winters is one of my all time favorite comedian and actress. I am thrilled this video was either filmed or downloaded on my 56 birthday 10/21/1960.....10/21/2016
Bless her, i had an elderly friend back five years ago, she was so lovely . There was like 46 years between us but she took a shine to me too. She died two years ago now, but sometimes the elderly make better friends than our own age.
Sally Latham because they know "how" to be friends!that's all we had back before computers.we had friends.we called every night and we had their phone numbers memorized!
Sally Louise -in my whole life I have always made great friendships with people much older than myself. All my “old” friends always said I had an “old soul”. I don’t exactly know what that means but I do think I’m an old man stuck in a young body. I just love old folks. They have so much stories and wisdom to pass on.
@@coolcutsgal2 We were walking phonebooks not so long ago! It's sad now that nobody remembers phone #'s & they can't get anywhere without GPS (even if they've been to a place ten times before!)
