Lost three relatives at the 3rd battle of Ypres (most commonly known as the battle of Passchendaele). My great-great-granddad and his two brothers. According to my grandma the last thing he said to his wife was along the lines of ‘I don’t think I’m coming home, please tell my little girl I love her’

I am a soldier. I haven't seen combat, but I know the feeling of comfort that home brings as opposed to the strenuous and mentally terrible nature of being active. Your videos comfort me, and Im glad to see something about us here. Thank you for all you do to help.

Two boys from my family fought in the battle of bellue wood and the battle of the Argonne forest, only the Bellue wood vet return home my great great great uncle died when the 77th infantry division got cut off.

This is something else that no one would use as a background (event wise). WW1 is the war that no amount of word can describe it, those who survived will never be the same again. The nurses are the real comfort for any soldier who are far away from home, though they can not heal them completely, the nurses are there to give them ease or by their side until... I am glad you decided to do this audio. A very touching and rare moment of peace Reverie ❤‍🩹
