3:09 that's a traditional Punjabi instrument, called a "tumbi". 3:14 "the sitting down one" .. there's a bunch of traditional Indian stringed instruments one would play while sitting down. I'm gonna take a guess the one you're thinking of is a Sitar. 7:04 "there was a line in there that I'm pretty sure was from their first song" yep, the lyric "vaari varsi khatan gaya si..." was used in their song "Ari Ari" . The "Vaari varsi khatan gaya si, khat ke leyaanda ..." thing is a very old tradition in the Punjab and surrounding regions of North/Northwest India, which constitute of a lot of poems/small folk songs etc. These folk songs are prevalent even today :)
