This is where me and my friends picked up all our fireworks. The lady that runs it actually walked with us through it and told us which ones are the best bang for your buck. Meltdown, Freakshow, Fight the Fight and Johnny B Cool were probably my favorite out of the ones we got. Good place to get them and the free money deal is pretty sweet as well
Personally, I go for all reloadable kits and one or two cakes, but I have never ever gotten more than 3. We have 5 or so buddies and we each take out a shell and put it in a tube and say 3 2 1 light and all run away. It's just as good as a five shot cake, but it is more fun. We also love saturn missiles. Occasionally, we'll all hold roman candles. We can hold two per hand with smaller ones or one per hand with larger ones. We get some other people and we always have a ton of fun (and drinks)
Joel, do you know the name of a parachute firework that shoots out actual real parachutes like more than 30 of those parachutes and you should do a video on buying fireworks on a budget. Anyways, enjoy your videos :] Boom
Hey Joel, maybe you can answer this question? Shelton has carried those big 8 shot finales and lots of the Single shots since the ‘80’s. Are those made by Zenith in Clinton, MO?
It is possible they were at one point, but very little manufacturing is done in the USA these days, so I doubt it now. It's possible they are rewraps of another product though.
Two Shelton items I highly recommend are Whistling Jacks (Didn't have them at the store in this video when I went there last year though) and Va Va Vixen Colored Firecrackers. Also their Meet Mr. Big Canister Shells aren't bad if you can't get other brands.
Another nice video man. But of course wholesale is the best way to go. wfboom and kellners you can buy just one case. Wfboom has those awesome assortment cases for those who reaaly want variety and don't have a lot to spend.
From Sheltons, I would have to say Heavy Metal 200g cake. It's only $6 retail for one, 16 shots, and for a small cheap cake it packs a punch. I have a finale board video on them if you want to check it out.
I'm getting goosebumps just watching this video... Feel like toys r us at age 7. I've lived in Hawaii in all of my 20 years and we don't have access to any of this stuff.
I showed what I bought this trip in the sneak peak video. If I'm not planning a show, I normally buy some small things for future videos. I do believe I am doing a New Years display this year and I will do a video in the store showing what I'm buying
I'm sure you don't realise, but in Croatia this mall is HUGEE,there isn't a fireworks store this big anywhere(there are 2 big companys Orion and Mirnovec) none of those have markets like this they have like 2 cubic meters of storage!!
@TrafficControlFreak no you do not need a permit but you need to make sure you use the fireworks in an area where it wont start a fire any other natural problems.
if you live in another state and go to another state to purchase fireworks(fountsins,mortars,cakes,etc....) do you have to have a permit? Cause I live in Oregon and want to go to Washington to purchase fireworks(phantom)
hey whats up jdrobinson13 i love ur vids, i go to shelton every year but thats about to chabge, dont get me wrong they have awesome prices but they do not cary any of the best consumer brands, all they carry is there own, there best brands are mississippi and eltorro and thats it i just wish they would carry some brand besides theres!!!!!
Hi, can you buy fireworks all year in the united states? (i'm from the netherlands) P.S. I love your videos and I think you have a great taste of fireworks :)
The first thing I did after the video is google those shells and yeah I didn't find any videos either. Looks like I will just have to make the video myself! :)
Thats awesome!!! in the netherlands you can only buy fireworks for NYE and the rules are very strict our firework can not contain flash and cakes can not have more than 500 grams of composition, the loudest bang you can get here are things like king pins/ semi shots. thats why everybody goes to belgium to get louder and better fireworks XD
im thinking about getting some fireworks but i don't plan on spending more than $200. I live in northern illinois. What place would you recommend to get the most fireworks for that kind of money?
Miscellaneous memer if you love in Illinois your best bet is to go to Covington IN and go to the Shelton's over there it's the closet one you can get too
You can still buy by the case @ Shelton and it is cheaper. Just have to talk to the manager. They don't run any buy one get on frees due to the fact that most of them are doubled. Phantom 24 canister shells= $160 buy one get one free. Shelton 24 canister kit=$80
just an idea for some of you going to big places like this, look like a tourist and bring a bag or fanny pack and cut the boxes open and load up with the shells or canisters! I've done this many times because theres almost always no cameras on the merchandise and they dont expect the huge boxes to be stolen. So get the reloadables, make a tube if you dont have one already and save!!!
I would not pay more than .50c - $1 per pound for any of that stuff. IE: 45,000 LB shipping container/or semi trailer packed full end to end should cost about $18,000 and retail for $120,000++ (or $3-4 per LB) by the time the dust settles.
