I saw her daddy in a club in Westchester, Pennsylvania roundabout 1992 before he passed after he had his heart transplant and I was blown away. I’ve seen her five or six times and she never fails to stop bringing tears to my eyes when she sings this song, she is beyond amazing live

Love Love Love Shemekia! She sings with every fiber of her being. I love it when a performer just gets completely immersed in a performance. She makes you smile, gives you goosebumps and can even bring a tear to your eye. Thank you for sharing your gift.
I'm so thankful I heard her on wxrt Sunday night blues show. "The Talk" stopped me in my tracks. I pre-ordered her new cd immediately. Love her voice and her band is spot f-ing on!!! Now I'm going thru her older stuff and getting all kinds of chills!
I saw her do this song about 15 years ago or so @ Williams Art Center @ Lafayette College in Easton PA. It was a relativity small venue, about 100-150 people. She did it with no microphone and just blew the place away!
