@@larryross2690 i hope he's damn near impossible to beat and you really have to fight! With some qte's thrown in... like real martial arts fighting 😍😍😍 my dream fight sequence!
Have they confirmed that we will get to finally confront Lan Di? We may not meet Lan Di in this game. He may escape again and we get a "to be continued". Yu wants a Shenmue 4 and 5.
holy crap... I was having some Nostalgic fond memories of when I played shenmu over 20 years ago. Now i find out there making a shenmu 3?? what a night
Would love to have them add hidden boss fights to the game, that would be amazing! Hoping they keep Big or Small and the other mini games they added in Shenmue 2. The game looks amazing!
last year i seen all these haters who kept saying shenmue 3 not gonna improved & it gonna suck . here it is & it look great. they wanted it to fail because it not gonna be on XBOX ONE i can't wait for this release in the summer .
Crowd is so dead. I would've been standing up clapping and cheering, it looks like they don't appreciate this. Host actually looks like A Shenmue fan tbh.
@@dragonseye00 Understandable, first look on Shenmue 3 was really exciting, but imagine being A fan to the point where you actually travel and get to accompany this conference and sit there quietly. I understand we have already viewed A lot of this info, but I was even excited to see the date stamp and the modern D-pad when making options
@@Loveilis if it wouldn't be for my (very) little girls and the difficulty to get a few days off at work, I'd definitely have gone to Monaco or /and dubrovnik. For me shenmue 3 becoming reality is still something like if be daydreaming. And now seeing that it comes along this well is amazing. I've never had doubt that yu suzuki can make it a great game, but it's even better than I'd have expected. I just get angry sometimes with those speaking about animations, anatomical incorrect npcs or even lipsync. As if this would be the essence of shenmue. Back then the game was stunning, yes, but what made us love it where not the graphics and animations as such, but the characters, the story, the music, the feeling, the things you can do without making sense for the story, and even the waiting and the jobs you've had to do. And what gets me most angry about it... The graphics ain't bad at all, the game looks great. Its not red dead redemption, and it doesn't pretendo to be, but it's more beautiful than que some other games or there. But social media gives everybody a voice, even those with mental conditions, that are unable to say something good or simply shut up instead of being selling attention😉 I'm really happy with what's coming along. These few lucky ones that had the chance to play the demo at Magic Monaco... Let's see if the promised demo will be released before the game comes out 😉 but actually it doesn't matter,... Since I don't have a PC that song I'll have to wait for the ps4 release anyway hahaha
On this case yes, he should put that. It's a big and nice chance. Doesn't matter if we didn't have that back on s1 and s2. But could be nice to interact with the world , chilling and enjoying such beautiful world. Yes you could on previous games but for limited days.
I've been waiting for a long time for this game, no this masterpiece. Now I wish it was on a Sega machine. Hope many diehards both Sega and old nostalgic gamers types grab this game.
who was the person behind the background screen..? A better job should have been done EDIT: lol I realise it was Yu Suzuki now, haha. In that case I understand that he was multitasking
Shenmue must have been the first open world game from Japanese devs, or the first on consoles because the PC has always had open world games which has been the platform's bread and butter with much larger worlds.
No game has been like Shenmue in past. Now multiple games are emulating it. Especially the NPC with unique AI that was truly groundbreaking and now games are using that.
@@cla1814 Lots of people love old games for whatever reasons. I myself like Shenmue, but I liked many years ago when it came out. Today however give me the Witcher or GTA V, they're miles superior as I have forgotten about Shenmue.
@@ZuneGuy1118 Both of those games obviously took some form of inspiration from Shenmue. Rockstar used Shenmue as Research material you can find it online and Witcher obviously took the NPC with AI people called it groundbreaking when Shenmue did it 20+ years ago. Shenmue offers something else. It's a peaceful ambient, especially the first game. They emulated Yokosuka so well you will know this if you walk around the real town as I did. I loved Shenmue and still do and enjoy it. Even though I am not into video games anymore as before.
Why the fuck isn't this being released on Xbox one? Shenmue 1 & 2 were rereleased on Xbox one. I've been waiting fucking years for this game. Makes no sense.
Absolutely love Shenmue 1&2 can't get excited for 3. Being on the PlayStation just seems wrong. Shenmue underperformed mainly because gamers at that time were so blinded by the PS2.
@Sursurk I actually miss exclusives. They give each system a reason to buy them. I understand Sony helped in making Shenmue 3 happen but to me the PS2 was the final nail in Sega's coffin which in turn dramatically cut into the success of Shenmue. But like you implied exclusives don't last anymore and hopefully I'll be able to play Shenmue 3 on Xbox one.
In reality the failure was Segas, not Sonys. Sega did ein their hardware business with all the hardware they have done after the mega drive. Sega CD, 32x,Neptune, Nomad.... Saturn was not well thought through either and pushed the way for Sony... And when they finally did everything right with the hardware, they didn't have enough money to push the marketing. That's where they've lost against Sony. The dreamcast was great, ahead of it's time, but people didn't trust in the brand, and Sega didn't have the money nor the strategy to change the game by that point. So, with that little sistems sold you can't reach a success, considering the original games budget. Actually, it started developing for Saturn as Virtua Fighter Rpg, then they started developing Shenmue. It was in a rather advanced status, since even the scene with Ryu and Ren chained together was on the Saturn. The underwhelming sales of the Saturn made them change to the Dreamcast.... And they had to reprogram it from the ground up, due to the different system structure. So, the failures and decisions of Sega made Shenmue and the Dreamcast fail after all. Sony in reality just took their chance. A pity for everybody,...I've first also blamed Sony, but I've learned to understand that we need to thank Sega for Shenmue, but also blame them for this masterpiece not being successful back then.
@@nathantaylor8643 actually, if Sega would have invested a jut of money to port both games to the ps2 back then, im sure it would have been a success and we'd have seen more games. But now we're with part 3 on low budget, and it's the mistake of Sega, neither shenmue, neither sony are to blame that the game originally didn't sell well enough. Its the failure of Sega,... Too many wrong decisions made in hardware during the 90s, had coordination, bad strategies and bad decisions from their managements. Basically, we've got shenmue thanks to Sega and yu suzuki, but we didn't receive shenmue 3 until now because of Segas failures
