You know, this is exactly how I would imagine Shenmue 1 flashbacks should look if they were in Shenmue 3. I also hope Yu Suzuki decides to use a similar model of Ryo to yours! Great work as always!!
Whitefox789 Yeah I knew it was just a kind of placeholder model so to speak. I just really like the Ryo model used here, he looks better but still looks like the original. It would look great in a 1+2 HD remake. Now that I think about it, am I correct in assuming this is the Sonic Allstar Racing character model? It's been a long time since I played that game. (only played it to use Ryo lol)
L96A1Pharaoh I love this model too. I don't know if it is the Allstar Racing model, I did buy the Ryo DLC for the game on PC yet I haven't touched it since then. I mainly used Beat from Jet Grind Radio (yes I know the original title is Jet Set Radio!).
I'm always fascinated from what that a fan can create... awesome! The fans of Shenmue deserve the remastered version of the 2 chapters. We expect Shenmue HD Remaster on in our systems: PlayStation 4 & Xbox One :)
This is amazing, I hope Shenmue 3 looks this good. I'd also gladly snatch up an HD remaster of either of the first two games. Even today in a post-GTA world, there's nothing that hits the spot quite like a Shenmue game. The city has so much personality.
This is beautiful, I'm not crazy on Shenmue HD but it would be great if it happened. It would make a lot of difference to Shenmue 3 as well. Oh and imagine if Ryo looked like that in Shenmue 3.

i always use this house to explain why you take your shoes off when you come indoors... the fact that dirt has to learn how to climb 3 stairs to follow you in is an added bonus :D

it's absolutly superior and faithful to the one from kickstater it's really a shame that Ys.net couldn t do that too .... i really doubt their quality the japanese become far behind the west in every terms , if i was you i should send message maybe their hire you it's your chance now

incredible, I wish you were working on shenmue 3. Your Ryo model and environments look so much better than what we've seen of shenmue 3 and it still retains the original shenmue essence.
This is what I wanted from the Shenmue I & II remastered but instead it looks like we’re just getting upscaled ports. Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers. Still looking forward to the remastered and Shenmue III.

That looks way more like the Ryo Hazuki we all know than the one in the Kickstarter video. I hope this is the character model that gets used in Shenmue III.
That Ryo model looks awesome, unlike the one that was seen on the Kickstarter campaign launch video and in the promotional images. And I know Yu Suzuki said he didn't like it and was going to improve on it, but honestly he might as well use your model instead of paying someone else to do it wrong again. It's great!

Kid Nocon Well, you do speak english (which is by any means international language in our modern society). I honestly don't think that this is a real blocker. Your splendid works speak for yourself. I think you should at least try to pitch them. No matter of result. You have done this for some time, featured on many sites against the odds (I mean the possibilities of S&D from Sega). So we believe in you, don't waste opportunity without trying.

+Kid Nocon (노콘키드) Nice remodelling of the Hazuki residence. I believe unreal engine 4 was used to render the visuals. Just out of interest what was the shenmue theme used during the introduction of this video.

very nice. sega need to put those games out there on live services, even if they can't be bothered to do a HD reskin, just to make the games available to the wider public would be good. they've put out other old games already, no reason they can't put Shenmue 1 & 2 out.
With the Shenmue 1+2 HD releases planned this year it would be great if they just overhauled/incorporated a modem lighting engine and weather system. Would transform the game visually/atmospherically with minimal effort(I assume)
