This week we stayed at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, FL. This place offers the basic amenities you'd expect from a simple resort and offers direct access to a private beach area. You even have the option to take Clearwater's Jolly Trolley anywhere in the area free with your room key. There are multiple restaurants located near the lobby and one right next to the pool. The white sanded beach was beautiful and worth the stay alone. Come along as we visit this place!

This hotel is on the old side, the rooms haven’t been updated in years. For what they charge, room upgrades are a must. My parents live few buildings over so I’m very familiar with the whole area. The beach is quiet for sure and that’s a plus! And the sand on their property is smooth only; like they said, it’s definitely a walk. This hotel is sorta a one stop shop, and honestly you don’t need to leave. Is it worth what they charge, no, because like I said before it’s definitely dated.

You are paying for the location, not the room, unfortunately. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was great and the beach was beautiful. I am sure eventually it will be updated. Most hotels on Clearwater are expensive and a little dated because it is an old town. Thanks for watching!

Is November a good time to go?

Every November is different. Sometimes we are 50 to 70 degrees and some years we are in the 80s still and swimming. Sometimes, we have hurricanes or tropical storms in Nov, and sometimes, it is quiet. I am not sure what this November will be like, sorry. It is a really fun resort, though. Good luck! 🙂

I've been staying at this hotel since I was 13 years old. Some 33 years ago. I have loved every vacation that I have spend there with my family and later my children. Flying over from the Netherlands..almost every other year says alot! Beautiful! And I have seen a lot of hotels in my life!!! Is it outdated??? I don't agree. But more important, the people are kind and friendly. Every time around. Lots of nice places to eat in the area. Love the walk on the beach to the water. Feels like paradise to me :) Rooms are clean, breakfast buffet is wonderful and the pool area is nice for every age. Fresh towels at the pool and good service. Simply LOVE this place!!

They have a golf cart to bring people up and down the beach. I called and found out before I booked. Otherwise, for me, it would be a hard no. They are also remodeling as of this past June. Too bad I’m not getting kick backs from the hotel for this info. 🤷‍♀️ Btw, what are those white orbs speeding by in the dark near the water at 7:49? They aren’t boats. kinda weird. I hope there are no extra terrestrials around !😂

Well, that is good to know about the golf cart. It is a really long beach! We enjoyed our stay when we were there. Even when Sheratons are old, they are still nice and comfortable. So at 7:49 you are seeing a boat through timelaspe. It is the process of speeding up the video. Boats were coming in during that time. Thanks for watching and updating some of the info on this video! Our visit for this video was Jan 2021. 🙂

Good video but it's free to sign up for Marriott bonvoy and get that free wifi, why stay there and not collect your points and get your free wifi, silly -.-.

can they store your luggage if you are there early for check in?? Our flight is early and we don’t want to be pulling our luggage around all day

Yes! They actually offered to hold our luggage for us while we waited for the room to be ready and we were also allowed to enjoy the pool and other activities. They will just ask you to leave your luggage with the concierge until you need it! 🙂 Thanks for watching!

I was there years ago... Its beautiful . the Beach is also really nice. Also caladesi island is very nice. I remember the water being very very warm....

It is a beautiful and big beach! We loved our stay plus Sand Key Park next door. We have also been to Caladesi Island. We love how there were less people on that beach. The gulf is very warm in the summer. Thanks for watching!

Looks like a good spot. Parking in Clearwater can be a mess didn't think to just stay at a resort right on the strip to avoid the drama. Great Idea thanks again ~ London

We always stay on the beach and walk everywhere because traffic is a nightmare in Clearwater. This hotel has the Clearwater trolley pick up right in their parking lot plus it is free with room card. Glad this helped!

My husband and I have spent many anniversaries here. The area is beautiful! We recorded this video at the end of January. The temperature wasn't too bad. Florida winters are different every year though. What month do you plan to visit?

According to Google April, May, and June are good months to swim in the Gulf. We were in St Pete at the end of May. We were able to swim during that time. Sheraton is a beautiful hotel with great beach access. The Columbia is across the street and worth checking out if you like Spanish food. Over the bridge is a restaurant called Speggtacular. We enjoyed staying on the beach and that Sand Key Park was located next door. There are definitely other hotels we would like to try while visiting Clearwater. Any suggestions? It is one of our favorite areas in Pinellas county. Thanks for watching!
