@@antifugazi That's obviously not true. I also heard another DJ playing the same track. It's a remix, but the problem is footwork producers don't call a track "Michael Jackson - Thriller (DJ Manny Remix)". They call it "DJ Manny - That Night" or something related and it's harder to find if you only know the sample.
@@sherellethomas4106 Track says original mix in track list, nothing about a remix anywhere, sounds like the original sped up, if it is a remix there is nothing different other than the beat
There's def other ways to give love to lgbtq folks. I get what they're trying to do, but it's not a great way to go about it. If we're trying to help people feel included, and less marginalized, we should probably be including them, versus arbitrarily segregating them fro. I think the crowd.
BBZ have helped me become and be comfortable in my own skin at their club nights. This has allowed me to comfortable in other spaces too. Read up on BBZ before you critique them as they are doing a lot for people like myself.
@@sherellethomas4106 As Timothy above said, I understand what they're trying to do, but that message promotes the opposite of inclusivity and it made me wince as I was listening to (and really enjoying) your set. If I was at the front there, having a good time, that would have quickly changed and I would have been made to feel totally unwelcome and out of place. Spaces for minorities are fantastic, needed and very respected from my point of view but at the end of the day it is all about inclusivity, not discrimination.
24:20 such point of view to prioritize certain people and even say so that some others go back while these others go to the front is quite aggressive and, all in all, jeopardizes the whole thing. really unnecessary words, made purely by naive feelings with apparently no thought whatsoever. I understand the need for what she expressed and yes there's need for shouts in case of non-binarys, transgenders and all the other different-from-the-generic sexualities and orientations. Nonetheless, a horrible moment chosen for segregationist words (these ones to the front, the rest to the fucking back, as she said it (i guess it she, can't really know these times huh). Killed the whole vibe really.
O tempora, o mores. I hope we grow out of it soon, we don't need a another form of segregation. Sherelle's set was amazing, looking forward for BangFace 2020 set!
