Sadly, from time to time all of us run across people like Marilyn. She seems to behave like a negative, mean old woman who doesn't want to communicate to try and fix the situation, but rather she is constantly trying to intimidate and strong arm people with lawyers to get her way. She clearly doesn't have a leg to stand on in this matter... In my opinion. There seems to be enough negativity in this world (especially with the craziness going on now) without having people like Marilyn around who adds to it. So sad and frustrating. Hang in there buddy and don't back down! BTW... I thought that Sheriff was extremely professional and should be commended.

That first Police Officer did not know what he was talking about. The second one was better than the first but this one was more experienced than either of the first two. Your lawyer should sue to get her to change the locks back or give you a key, until the courts decide the whole mess.
Make sure you have cameras all over your warehouse in case she comes in and starts rummaging through your stuff. Also put up some cameras outside. If you can catch her having the locks changed on film that looks bad for her. She's not legally allowed to be in there while you are not there. Honestly, her lawyer is giving her such bad advice. You can sue the hell out of her. Take advantage of it. And only because she's making your life a living hell right now and not for any other reason. This is a business. I like this cop much better. He's really nice and not trying to power trip you.

@@HighPotatoo Correct, if he sues and wins a big sum and she doesn't pay, he can then file a lien on the building and she will have a limited amount of time to pay. If she doesn't, then the court will order the building into his possession and she will no longer own it.
If her argument is with her business partner why is she suing you? You paid your rent to the guy & not her (?) Maybe he didn't do right by her with all your rent payments? What a mess this is. Wishing you the best of luck Jeremy.
This whole situation is ridiculous. The owner of the property should be ashamed of herself. I pray you find a resolution. I’m so upset for you. I know where you are now is cheap but I would have gotten my inventory and found a new warehouse. I’m sorry you are going through all this nonsense Jeremy.

Know the Landlord Tenant Act of your state. It applies to even month to month open leases. You would be surprised if how much time and protection you have as a renter. I've been where you are, good luck!
I think she's intent to get control of the site one way or another, and probably intends to redevelop the site. Find yourselves another site whilst you have the time available to do so.

I’ve watched 2 videos about the landlord and I am completely lost. I think the lady who owns the buildings is fighting over something. Don’t know what! And he’s paying the rent so what’s the problem?

I agree she should not lock him out as a human I feel like she should understand that there was miscommunication with the partner. Also I feel like she should allow him time to remove all of his belongings. As for what is legal on her part.... she may have all the right to lock Jeremy out, in which Jeremy would have to sue the partner in order to recoup the losses.
@@nickbrick21 if he is paying rent and on time and not doing nothing illegal she has no right to do that period. Unless it is in his contract which I would not think it is lol.
He is paying very little in comparison to his profit range..she is looking to increase the rent so that she can capture some of those profits..The problem for her is the partner is taking the heat on this, otherwise I think she would try to triple the rent or demand a percentage

Here's what I don't understand, why go through all of this? I have been to Wooster and that area of Ohio. After watching the video with the sheriff auction of the house and acres of land. Then I watched the Amish auction video. Why don't you buy a piece of land in that area and have the Amish build you a new warehouse? You tell people in your videos that real estate is a good investment. Then you own warehouse part of your business end to end. Apple's Steve Jobs used to always say it's best to own things from end to end. None of this landlord lady stuff or leasing. You wouldn't have to worry about your merchandise. I would then go through the court proceeding with the judge to explain your intent so she ( the landlord) could not have leverage on you. Then you could show you will be moving out by a intended time. With the Amish building it, you know it would be done really well.

Jeremy find a new place and get out of there. She knows that you legally entitled to be there. But you paid your rent and you’re in compliance to your agreements. I would get out of there find a new place. Because she’s going to keep harassing you. You don’t need the aggravation.
👍, I'd be in tears and ticked off all at the same time. That's a girl for you. I hope that I never have to find out what I would do in a situation like this. Prayers are lifted up for you. She's wrong to lock you out but now the question to begger is how did you get in? Breaking and Entering? Or did your lawyer get the keys? I don't know. You're caught between a rock and a bolder. Did you put your own new locks on? Are you looking for a new place for your million dollar stuff. I'd be afraid that she might start throwing your stuff out of the buildings.
i would not trust this woman marilyn,whos to say shes not going into your building and taking some of your stuff when you not there,if it was me i would have my stuff out of there asap.
I would find a different place to warehouse the goods..Eventually the dispute will be settled and the partnership dissolved and then you will be stuck dealing with her all by yourself..She has already proven she will take illegal steps to get her way..Do you really want your goods ransomed by her??
Oh man....so I am a bit bored tonight and I deal with alot of stuff as an administrator for multiple General Contractors so I am familiar with many aspects of commercial business legalities... She has no active state incorporation that I can find and only 2 cancelled/expired businesses which means she is breaking the law even renting a commercial property without an active business. The property is owned under her personal name and not a business entity which exposes her personally to any liability she exposes herself to. I have read the Complaint as well and if they have a joint bank account as was mentioned in one of the videos she is going to have some "issues" with line 17
Well, its now getting real. But in a nice sort of way with the Sheriff's Department. Leave it all to the lawyers, even if it gets expensive because you can always sue for costs if she loses. BTW, the contest with Patience is definitely rigged. But fun!
It is normal in my country to rent some properties then let somw people use the properties based on certain agreement. And that is not against any law whatsoever
Go to you local justice of the peace get an injunction bring your cancelled checks as proof you paid which means you had an impkied contract she accepted the funds for you to stay and pay rent! Ask the judge for s temporary injunction to allow you t retreive you property.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything with what I'm saying, I'm just speculating... She and her business partner are going through a messy "business divorce", I'm wondering if perhaps she was "unofficially" renting the property to you and pocketing the money without sharing or letting her business partner know? Like I said, I'm not accusing, but I smell shadiness coming from this ordeal you're having to go through and it's not from you. I would still continue with a lawsuit against HER though. I wish you the best of luck but I would definitely start looking for another place with honest people who don't potentially pull shady moves behind your back. Stay safe! 😊
