Today we are reflecting back on the incredible work of Shangri La Artist-In-Residence, Sherin Guirguis, whose mixed medium artworks have sparked meaningful conversations about native bird species in Hawaiʻi and serve as a pause for personal reflection. The three artworks created over the course of two weeks in the Playhouse were displayed in the Mughal Gallery - while her larger exhibition, “Field of Reeds” was exhibited at the Honolulu Museum of Art (HoMA).
