This thing is insane, Im getting one. The Russians thought of everything. If this was built in America it would have a 6.2 L V8, thankfully the Russians put a small diesel in here. 700 km on one tank of around 55 liters is insane.
The tires alone are an arm and a leg. Originally they were below $60k, but with international demand skyrocket they updated some things like putting foreign engine and all such things. And since the demand is much higher than they can produce of course units are sold with high premium.
The SHERP and SHAMAN are the Best 4x4 of the world .....the Jeep, Hummer ,and others brands traditionals Americans,Japanise etc etc are ridiculous in front of the RUSSOS 4X4....THANKS RUSSIA .....YOUR ARE GENIUS ...
I think think it's worth every penny they put a lot of time in it engineering it and they kept it simple keep it simple kiss got to love these Russian guys they know what they were doing Unbreakable
The Beauty of this jeep to its full permissiveness. It should go to the impassable jungle, for a few days. By the way, recently, Russia held the expedition, which took place from the West to the East of the Putorana plateau... it could go so far. Wrote with online translator Yandex, so do not judge strictly...
The price is higher because it is not produced in China.
This vehicle is impressive I can really see the value in it. The cost is the same as a pickup truck, I complain constantly over that cost, but with the SHERP it’s different you get a real machine and the people who need and use these rigs I’m sure they aren’t complaining.
coleby worthen The price on the official site(sherp.ru) is 85000 $ (5200000 rub) in the cheapest package. I do not think that it is possible to discount the price to 50,000
"...and you can also buy a new Ferrari for the cost of one!" Um, I'm not cool with taking anything north of $100k out in the woods to beat up, are you? LOL
I just started watching a channel called ostacruiser and he loves his sherp and that thing is unstuckable LOL I think I have SHERP fever!!! How much do they cost though?
I wonder how long those tires last with the skid loader like steering on hard surfaces ,guess does not matter if you can afford one of these and a large property to run it on. I doubt the tire lasts as long as that guy was claiming .
How does this work on rock crawling? I've seen 4W drive vehicles going up these so-called very seep rocky routes, and seeing the tires that these trucks have, I was wondering if you've have any problems going up rocky trails?
for that kind of money i feel like it should be a little more polished.. lol it looks like a farmer went to the scrap yard and got the motor and trans and the rest from princess auto and slapped it together
"it looks like a farmer went to the scrap yard and got the motor and trans and the rest from princess auto and slapped it together" I mean it is Russian isn't? XD
this machine is designed for rugged terrain and long term travels into whatever you want so if you have some mechanical problems you should manually fixed by yourself, and this thing looks quite easy to maintain because it's meant to be like that, if you have a 6x6 AMG MERC for example good luck fixing that
They spoke to the chain drive system and checking tensions. One vehicle has 5000 hours and still running original chain drive. They show the chain drive at 10:48
there are lots of other russian offroad vehicles like Lesnik or Trecol. for those who want more space. unfortunately Sherp is way better for hard offroad because of the short wheelbase. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-01WwoDWewS0.html
Chain drive.... keep those chains greased, and you should be fine..... however, make sure you have spare chain with you, because I don't care how big the chain is, it's going to fail, suddenly, and at the most inconvenient time.
@@StarForgers Hes right about the #'s, but for 20-50, all you'd have is a nice 4-wheeler. These are an exploratory vessel and have just set 5 world records. They were not made to simply be another ditch riding/barhopping 4 wheeler. :)
It is hand-made vehicles. There is no conveyor or any kind of mass production. Company producing it is rather small, so they have to put high price for it. Pure capitalism from Russia with love, lel.
No way each hub tank holds 58 liters. It's probably a misprint in the manual. All four tanks might hold 58 liters or about 4 US gallons per wheel tank. Also 58 liters of diesel weighs 106 lbs. Better redo your math on the Sherp's fuel range.
The sales guy is awesome! I wish I was close enough to take him up on his offer to drive the thing. Trust me I know exactly how to get it stuck. Just get into a dry hole where one corner tips in or a mud hole surrounded by coral rock and you're stuck.
These get high centered like anything else, I've seen them stuck in the mud... The wheels don't turn you can't wiggle out of ruts... Way too Much money..
Way too much money! Most American will not buy it. Lower price they will sell more. You can buy a super sweet fully stocked snowcat for the price they are asking for .
Devil Dog do snow cats float? Cause a SHERP can and it can crash through the ice and climb back up after. Sure wouldn’t want a “sweet fully loaded snocat” in that situation
The Russians certainly couldn't buy it. All there money is going to the government and if your rich and own one, it wouldn't even be considered yours. Communism sucks.
135,000 samckers??? are you out of your minds??? I could buy a RZR for everyday of the week!! I'm just sayin......It is really cool....I'll start saving my pesos
Awesome vehicle, the host not so much. I appreciate his enthusiasm but he kinda comes off as a little rude,no sooner has he asked a question the guys barely finished answering & he interrupts with another question, all the whiles his eyes & head are darting around like a hyperactive squirrel not really engaging the person speaking at all. I understand he's trying to get as much info to the viewers as possible but not at the expense of being rude to the guys answering its common courtesy & normal conversation etiquette I would've thought. Especially talking about such an awesome piece of machinery.
maynunal naw im super impressed thats just the results of 4 days at a trade show from 530am to midnight and 3 weeks of prep before that. ill try to be more lively next time. i do love that machine though!
