Meet Sherri Sharpstone. Born and raised in Japan, Sherri moved to the US to go to college, where she fell in love with Accounting. Currently Sherri works with her husband, who has his own accounting firm. Being nearsighted, Sherri understood the importance of scheduling routine eye exams.
During one of Sherri's routine eye exams, she volunteered to have a glaucoma test performed. This test revealed her #glaucoma diagnosis, in addition to the fact that peripheral vision loss had already occurred. Sherri was then referred to #SCEI's glaucoma expert, Dr. Rohit Varma, and instantly felt comfortable and at ease. Sherri's vision has been preserved, and she maintains regular check-ups to ensure that her eye pressure stays under control.

Thanks for sharing. I, too, have glaucoma and currently on medication. Recently I had laser surgery and will see my doctor in a few weeks. I am hoping that the laser surgery was successful and I will not need to continue with the eye drops. I am glad you decided to do the test for glaucoma. ❤

What is the surgery??? I had Laser for my Glaucoma 3 weeks ago - Argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT) is the most common type of laser surgery. It's usually used to treat open angle glaucoma, I will know in a couple of weeks if the pressure has come down. Was a waste of time watching this video. Maybe this was what she has? - What kind of surgery do they do for glaucoma? What is trabeculectomy? This type of surgery is usually used to treat open-angle glaucoma. It's done in a hospital and usually takes less than an hour. The surgeon will create a tiny opening in the top of your eye.

She doesn't say what the treatment is. And only mentions vaguely that the pressure in her eye(s) needs to go down. I assume it did. Would be helpful to get some details.
