I adore this CD and play it a lot! The old standards are awesome and to hear contemporary artists render their own version is great! Thank you, Don Henley!
Sheryl Crow at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles -- a stunning perfomance: Sheryl, joined by Mark Isham (horn), with Vince Mendoza conducting the all-star production. Other great performances that evening: Shawn Colvin (But Beautiful) and Trisha Yearwood (A Good Guy).
From Crow's early albums, I thought she had a bunch of catchy songs, but couldn't really sing very well. I came across this album by accident and didn't think much of Crow's song, but wow did it grow on me. I think her version compares very well to the versions done by Holliday and Fitzgerald.
