Jisoo is on a tv show called Snowdrop. It’s on Disney+. It’s impossible not to fall in love with her.

Jisoo just won a Korean or Asian award for her 1st leading role in a TV drama series in 2021, "Snowdrop" (the scene with a man putting a gun on her forehead was in "Snowdrop"). The award ceremony will be held in a few weeks.

Jisoo said that she doesn't cry in public to keep the other members strong. Once, after a long hiatus, Blackpink had won a music trophy, the members became emotional after being announced as winners. Since the other three were crying, they couldn't give the acceptance speech, so Jisoo gave the speech even though she was the MC of the event.

I only watched the 1st episode of Snowdrop, they're about 90 minutes per episode...but what I saw of Jisoo's acting really impressed me. She could have just as easily been successful as an actress.

Jisoo has actually been an actor longer than an idol. Snowdrop was her debut as a lead actor in a kdrama. She has already won acting awards for Snowdrop. Rumor in the ether is that she is already being lined up for another role. Acting has always been her true passion. Once they decide to do things separately, I suspect Jisoo will become a full time actor.

When Jisoo was at tryouts to get into YG Entertainment, she didn't try out as a Vocalist. She tried out as an Actress. I don't know who flubbed what paperwork but history was made because of it. BALCKPINK just would not be the same without our favorite crackhead.

Jisoo is the unofficial leader? I thought Jenny was the one. Jenny was there in training the longest. In almost all their music videos, Jenny always seems to start first. This is all based on my observation, not from factual information. However, Jisoo is like the oldest sister.

The drama called SNOWDROP her first lead role, She's so good and the drama itself, I recommend to watch it 💔👌👌 I can't get over with it, it's hard to moved on and you'll understand why

Another thing about Jisoo's role in Snowdrop. Her character is much more than she appears to be. And you can do that with an actress like Jisoo. Because the audience would absolutely NEVER suspect anything was going on with her specifically. There is a natural holy innocence about her, that she could basically get away with anything,.. and you would never see it coming. Those lines she says to the terrorist have a lot more weighted meaning in the east than they do to our ears. When she stands up to him and tells him to get out of their school, She IS that man in front of the tank in Teynamin square, right? When she calls him a STUPID COMMUNIST. That is a direct slam on,... guess what country is all around them,... China. Snowdrop is a multi-layered experience. And having her, specifically her do that role was a real catch for them. Jisoo is not just an actress, she is an Award Winning Lead Actress, like the star of her popular 13 episode political thriller "Snowdrop" (the clip of the guy pointing a gun at Jisoo's forehead), for which she has already won Best Actress in a Drama awards. She is highly sought after for Lead Actress roles in movies and TV dramas. She supposedly has already agreed to star in an upcoming project. She doesn't need Blackpink, but she is a highly loyal person and doesn't want to let her members down so she is likely to stay as long as everyone else stays in BP. Actually she didn't need to slave in the 5 year training program at all, her family is very wealthy. In High School, Jisoo focused on acting. But she was told to get experience in auditioning. Her first (and only) audition was for YG (BP's label). Taken by her stunning looks, even if she had no dancing or singing training, YG accepted her into their training program. While at YG, during a YG group's concert, she was spotted walking around by an SME talent scout, who approached her . SME is the largest and most successful Kpop company, more so than YG. After talking to her and being stunned by her visuals, and not knowing she was already in the YG training program, the SME scout invited Jisoo to join SME's training program. It's nearly impossible to get into SME's or YG's training program (think NBA 1st round draft, Lisa was one of 4,000 auditioned in Thailand and the only one selected for the YG program), and all Jisoo had to do was be seen by their talent scouts and see her personality. Hey Saucey D, First, I look forward to getting to my office early in the morning so I can watch your Blackpink reactions. I have always been drawn to Jisoo. Her deeper tone is smooth and beautiful. That said, one of my favorite live performances is Jisoo Yuki No Hana (Snowflower) 2018 Arena Tour (Kyocera Dome) Osaka. It was a Christmas concert and this was her solo cover. It is a beautiful Japanese song that she sings in Japanese, and sings it beautifully. There are 2 versions...One has a running time of 5:43 and has CC, but the video is not as clear. The other is 6:13 and is clear but has no subtitles. Please, check this out. You won't be disappointed. Bob T.

Hah ha ha, I had seen 'The Producers' back in 2015 but didn't realize that was Jisoo. She was just a baby back then! 'The Producers' starred K-pop legend IU and had lots of K-pop cameos.

Jisoo is older, which in Korean culture, I believe is called an "Unnie" which is considered the elder, but since she doesn't speak English as well, she can't be in that main role, being able to answer questions asked in English, which is why they call her "unofficial."

Snow drop is English dub as well but I prefer it in Korean with sub titles with jisoos voice 😍

Blinks do tend to exaggerate - like language-wise I wouldn't say they're fluent in all those languages, though it's still admirable that they try because so many English-speakers don't even bother to try. But when it comes to Jisoo's acting chop, her performance on Snowdrop (available on Disney+) is stellar. It's the only time you'll see her cry! LOL. Her Snowdrop era was also when I finally fell in love with her wicked sense of humour & unique mature perspective on life. Even though BP doesn’t have an official leader, Jisoo is definitely seen as one of the group’s leaders in many ways. I say “one of” because before Blackpink debuted, all BP girls were part of a 9 member trainee group called Pink Punk that was led by Jennie (she trained the longest). That group never came to be and when Blackpink formed, they decided to have no leader. I think it was a good decision. Jennie suffers from anxiety sometimes so the other girls take leadership in various aspects. Rosé handles English interviews very well since it is her native language. Lisa takes lead on dance related activities and is the group’s happy pill. Jisoo is often called the mother of the group because she takes care of the members religiously. When the girls have individual activities, she’s there on set for hours to support them. She is heavily involved in creative discussions and group schedules. She also acts as the MC for group broadcasts, handles group introductions, and the girls look to her for public speaking. She often steps back on stage to let the others shine but will take center stage when it’s obvious one of the girls is uncomfortable. BP simply wouldn’t be the same without her. She doesn’t get nearly enough credit among Blinks for her role in the group, despite the Pinks constantly telling people how loved and needed she is. If there was a President of Earth, I would vote for her.

So BlackPink Discography as you know is not that big. So when they initially started the IN YOUR AREA Tour, there were not many songs to sing, Only Jennie has her SOLO song, so to be fair, all the other girls got there solo stage also. Jisoo sang Clarity and when they went to Japan, she sang Yuki No Hana. She has also released a few other covers, Habits from Tove Lo, and How can I love the heartbreak cover from AKMU. Rose and Lisa did covers also, but I will talk about those at a later time. Jisoo has done many cameo and commercials before debute but since then she only has one mini series in Korea, Disney+ helped produced it, it may still be on the sight to view, SNOWDROP. She won best rookie actresses in Thailand and Outstanding Korean Actress Award for Seoul international Drama Awards which will be awarded at the end of this month. Also, BlackPink did 2 covers which are documented. Sure Thing by Miguel and So Hot by Wonder Girls every other cover is not officially released as many of them were done while they were still trainees. for 5 years, a monthly review of the girls progress was evaluated, a song, a dance and a rap verse, either solo or in a small group. there were over 20 girls at any given time so the pairings were always different until the end when BP was being formed, that is 12 months x 5 years, so at least 60 covers which we may never see. I know you already filmed this, but I dont think each girl has a long enough section to record them separately, but I have seen it done separate and in one take. its all good, Love to see you experience new facts about these girls which I already know are amazing.

Even if Jisoo is not your current Bias, you are allowed to Bias her when watching this and other videos about her. It is actually fun just to spend a couple weeks Biasing on each one of them in rotation. They are all great!

Jisoo is usually labelled the crackhead of the group because she has the goofiest personality, she also gets labelled the mom of the group because she’s slightly older then the other girls and in Korea you are taught to respect the older person and she also doesn’t cry much so whenever they win an award the other girls are usually crying so Jisoo ends up having to make speeches when they win awards. Jisoo is the only one who grew up in Korea while Rose spent her childhood in Australia and Jennie in New Zealand and Lisa is from Thailand and speaks 5 languages.
