Who's to say that's how you listen to Lana? I've been listen to Lana since she was Mary Jumping Sparkling Jump rope Queen or whatever, and I've had my eyes open, closed, flickering back, with cum in them and whatever lol
No matter how many times I have listened to ultraviolence it ALWAYS hits me really hard. I cry every single time. The play on "I can hear (police) sirens sirens violins violins" instead of 'violence' n how her mind changes the police sirens sound to violins to protect herself, and the "we can go back to the start when I don't know who you are" wish I had never even known you and the "I could have died right there in his arms b/ he was right beside me"- he could have literally killed me right there; "Jim taught me that loving him was never enough"- learning that no matter how much I loved it was never enough for you. ahhh I can go on n on, it always gets to me.
one thing about lana is that she got the balls. im only on the first song reaction, but i guess you guys are right. she's definitely brave for doing this (and so much more) lol like she doesn't give af
I've been her fan since she released the EP Video Games/Blue Jeans and have attended three of her concerts. I can't even describe how emotional and powerful those experiences were. Not only that, but she also followed me on Twitter when her account was active after reading my letter that I couldn't give to her because I was too far from the stage. I took a picture and tweeted her, and she followed me almost immediately. We interacted a couple of times. A friend also recorded a video of her saying she loves me. She's truly the most humble, kind, and talented human being on earth. I'm so happy to see people reacting to Ultraviolence because it's my favorite album. Ocean Blvd also had a huge impact on my life.
i’m a big avid lana listener and i gotta say this is by far if not the best lana del rey review i’ve watched on youtube. i’ve always wanted to rediscover her music like i’ve heard it for the first time and this reaction really brought that to life. you guys were honest not brutal but real and raw, nothing was said that the audience wanted to hear for clickbait’s and points but it was honest and real. each of you had an amazing input with did analogy and you guys explain the visions she captures in her lyrics and production. this was amazing thanks guys. Subscribed !
the first time i listened to it, i wasnt a huge fan, just listened to it again a couple days ago & it’s SOOO good, idk what i was on the first time i listened to it😭
If there’s anything you guys deserve more subscribers it’s been three days going back and forth watching this reaction and I don’t think anyone has ever fully appreciated this album on their first time, consider me a huge fan. I didn’t even mind that we didn’t even analyse the lyrics which is what Honeymoon her next album is heavy on.
Great reaction! I’m here for any and all Lana content! Fun fact: on pretty when you cry she freestyled the lyrics and did the whole song in one take (not including background vocals of course). Also the mix you had didn’t include the guitar solo in the end :(
I love what you said, about her music being sad but also bringing this happiness, I think that’s exactly why I’ve loved her and her music since born to die. She really finds the most beautiful way to express such profound sadness, emotion, and it feels like a release, like I’m less alone in those thoughts. It’s just so masterful ❤ enjoyed your thoughts on this album
For all of you who enjoy these awesome reactions to Lana's discography, go check out Kit Thomas who's done born to die, Paradise, he's done the tropico film, and ultraviolence so far ! He's reacting to Honeymoon next ! He's worth watching ! 👍❤
I totally get it that like Taylor is Drake of female artists and Lana is like Kanye West They are both more than singers or songwriters. They are ARTISTS and they've made something New for the culture. Fun fact : Kanye West invited Lana on her wedding to sing and she did it for free coz they were friends back then.
More than 200 likes in less than 24 hours, please give us the deluxe and Honeymoon. Crazy how Anthony gave this a 2/10 lol. If you guys liked Old Money I have hope for Honeymoon.
The first guy don’t even listened anything. He is in a fucking way too anxious. The second guy don’t even have a opinion too, he is lost. The last guy was really calm and listening to everything. Is really uncomfortable to see how anxious the first guy is.
Porque en el final de Pretty when a cry no se escucha la guitarra? Es la mejor parte con la guitarra y no se escuchó más que la voz de lana,es otra versión o simplemente el audio del vídeo?
i effed my way up to the top is just sarcastic because media in the beginning of her career was discrediting her saying she is an industry plant or has a rich dad or sleeps her way to fame, and even saying shes untalented after she performed nervously at SNL in her tv debut. it is also speculated to be a diss towards Lorde.
Guys !!! I'm wondering what the logistics are on this video ??? What percentage of guys and what percentage of girls ??? I need to know ! I'm curious and i have severe OCD so please don't leave me hanging here. 😂 I've liked AND subscribed !! Come on now don't do me dirty 😂😂❤
@playazreview7940 analytics that's the word .. interesting ! I would've assumed more women, but you got us homoseeeexuals throwing a curveball into the figures 💅😅
The guy in black knows what he’s talking about. Summertime sadness is a repetitive song with similar beats while in her other albums, there’s more artistry when it comes to the instrumentals and the concepts themselves.
@@Jiggly_WigglyPuff All of her songs are gorgeous and have meaning. And summertime sadness, like you said, has a standard song structure. But she has songs with complex song structures that shows more of her creative abilities. Like Venice Bitch or her honeymoon album. Listen to that and you’ll understand.
I mean yes, but Summertime Sadness is still a gorgeous song with meaning. It is written in a more poppy way (hooks and stutters) with a standard song structure, but the production is different. It combines a variety of sounds and genres.
They're probably referring to the more 'clubby' remix. The original version is less poppy. They should totally react to that (with the music video ofc); I'd be interested to see if they thought differently about it compared to the more popular remix.
It’s wild how Lana’s work was initially disregarded by critics all because they didn’t know how to classify her. Her originality was too much for these philistines. Now I’m going to need you guys to do another Lana album ASAP. This was so entertaining and enjoyable. You guys have good energy✨
love straight guys trully reacting to Lana. There´s still so much prejudgments on her music, like"it's just music for girls" but its so profund, and full of poetry, cinematographic and literary references, plus and specially her voice. Thank ypu so much to open your ears and hearts to embrace her
It's a living, breathing proof of how the "this is just for girls" argument is stupid. 1. it obviously is not just for girls 2. GIRLS HAVE F*CkinG TASTE and know things, if boys don't want to participate in sth considered "jUsT fOr GiRlS" it's probably their loss
The guy in black hoodie being annoyed when they were talking through Old Money is everything. But can’t fault you guys thee best Lana reaction after Turning Tables one.
I was just about to comment that they were talking and messing around too much for Old Money. That's a song you must absolutely just sit and listen and not even sing along to in order to feel it thoroughly. I get teary eyed just thinking of that song for some reason. It reminds me of losing someone and that last minute attempt to bring them back. But in reality you only have a few seconds. The desperation. The anguish. The hopelessness. 😔
She’s considered the queen of alternative, mainly because her release of Born To Die went on to heavily shift the style and production of alternative music and later pop music over the years. Music has shifted back to using a lot of real instrumentation, deeper lyrics, acknowledgement of internal sadness, not to mention the bits of psychedelic rock and folk she has worked into her musical universe
