I know it's cute and funny but they should have interrupted the race and made all of the kids stop to catch that pony. Its legs could get tangled in the reins, make him trip and even break his leg at worst. Please keep that in mind next time! :)
Proof that some of them do enjoy it! I have seen it time and time again. If they hated it, they would stop and head back to the barn or let someone catch them. This pony was not "following the herd", it was leading, competing, and having fun!
the jockeys are good and never cruel. theyre not thrashing them with whips or anything a few taps are okay and they never use force the ponies love it and the jockeys do too
0:42 The kid on the black horse riding next to the palomino who lost his rider must be thinking "this isn't fair! That horse doesn't even have a rider yet it's beating me"
actually if he didn't like it he would have gone to the side, horses in general though they do have a herd mentality if it was hurting/scaring them they would avoid whatever it was even if the rest of the herd continued, the races are highly regulated & have multiple vets on scene. if a pony wasn't sound or a child too heavy they would not let them race. they don't push the ponies to their limit other than right at the end, it looks faster because they are smaller but that was mainly at a canter
He obviously didn't fall though. It's good practice to keep reigns out of the way for everyone's safety, but it was pretty funny, since the little guy didn't fall. :) Just see the humur since it ended well.
It is really cute how he kept jumping without a rider, but all I could keep thinking is 'please dont catch those reins with your leg.' I kind of worry about horses safety....
it is a bit just cause the kids have to be a bit bigger so that they are advanced enough riders, but at the same time you can tell that most of them are happy with their job, especially the one that went riderless in the first go round but kept going and finished in third haha
If you know anything about horses just seeing they are ponies should answer that question. They can be stubborn and bratty little things. He wasn’t kicking, just did a couple little bucks and went on his way.
When a rider falls off in a race or show jumping some times jumping their like Horse:Hm it appears you fell off Rider:STOP PLEASE Horse:I CAN DIS SOLO I DONT NEED A GUIDE
Yeah obviously there's a risk present. but you don't have to get up on your high horse and call people stupid. Reins coming over the horse's head is very common after falls, particularly if they are not equipped with a martingale. Happens all the time. No one was hurt. Calm down, PMS lady.
Cool und auch viel chilliger als diese Profirennen.Nur sollte es evt. ein bisschen besser organisiert werden die sind ja garnicht gleichzeitig losgelaufen:)
what do you expect them to do? do you want somebody to run after the pony and get trampled by loads of hooves just to catch the horse? yes, there is a risk, but there's not much you can do about it. They shouldn't stop the sport happening just because there is a risk. There's no point trying to catch it anyway, it would just want to run with its heard.
