Day two on Shetland and I head to the wonderful St Ninians Isle on the day Shetland is listed at number 6 in the top places to visit in Europe by Lonely Planet....

Flown over Shetland many times going to and from work. The scenery from above is indeed breathtaking. Keep up the good work !

Just back from a week there, as you say fantastic. When you go back, head for Noss and the RSPB reserve or take the short flight to the island of Foula.... life affirming places...

Kenny Stott I have visited all inhabited islands there, other than fair isle (maybe 2020) and I can verify it is one of the most special places on earth. Lovely people, gorgeous scenery - perfect!

Spent 2 weeks in Shetland reroofing part of Sumburgh Airport, rain and wind every day, might go back to see if the sun does come out :-)

Nice when you can mix business with a bit of pleasure. 😁 I've visited Orkney years ago and loved it, never made it to Shetland, perhaps often overlooked for the more celebrated Outer Hebrides. 🤔

Shetland has been on our bucket list for some time and you have done nothing to knock it off Murray, quite the opposite. I had a quick look and the air fares look astronomical. Any tips on making the trip less expensive?

Steve Hartley must admit I was lucky to mix work with pleasure on my Shetland visit - not sure how much cheaper the ferries are to Shetland to be honest - if you book a room on the ferry it can be expensive if also taking car etc etc sorry I can’t offer better options Thanks for watching ATB Murray

I was lucky enough to be there when it was sunny, and it was amazing - but busier (Well, Shetland busy, meaning you can see more than 3 other people!) Unst is great as well. My friend up there has died now, so harder to get there :( still love Shetland, tho.
