If you check leaderboards you will see there are a few approaches to Apep - XP clear first wave, XP + Raven S2 + Brewster Assist clear second wave, XP > Hailey > Su finish off Apep. You can reduce some speed by clearing waves 1 & 2 with Hailey + XP, but this should give both Su and Brewster the Calamity. - Elif/Toland comp which is VERY reso intensive (needs Elif R6/FuShi R6/Embla R6 alongside XP + Toland). Clear first wave with XP + Elif S3 triggered by XP, clear second wave with FuShi into Embla, Apep retaliation should kill Toland giving you a big buff to your damage to cream him with Elif and FuShi/Embla. In general there are variations to these strategies. If you don't go for the absolute minimum number of turns and instead aim for a consistent 15- turns, you will find Su + Hailey comps to be the most consistent. Hailey amplifies Su's damage beautifully with calamity, so it's mostly a matter of figuring out what are the espers you can afford to give you that extra damage and perhaps a bit of survivability to push through. XP, Sachiko, Brewster, Elif, Sakura (for survivability) are just a few of the espers I can name here. Good luck!

nah, amir r6 is not needed for 7 turns, i told u about that dude with 7 turns fafnir consistently using r4 amir a few months ago, now that dude got r6 amir and is doing 6 turns
In case you're still wondering, Yu Xu goes first because Toland gets inflicted with SPD Down (and also Stun, but this is removed by Feng Xun's Far Journey buff) when Fafnir attacks after Amir. Toland doesn't have the Light set equipped like the rest of the team, so he doesn't have the Immunity buff to prevent the SPD Down debuff. Hope that explanation helps, love!
