This is the third of three attempts from the Shia intellectuals to debate representatives from the Sunni community. Video courtesy of our brothers from Pathway to Mercy - • Speakers Corner: 16/07...
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The nation of mine will be split into 73 sects. Only one will be asked in Paradise and 72 will be in the fire!" It was asked, "Who are they, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ?" He (ﷺ) said, "Al-Jama'ah (i.e., the group which adheres steadfastly to the way of The Prophet (ﷺ) and his Companions)." And in another narration: "(Those who follow) what I and my Companions are following." [Tirmidhi 2643, Ibn Majah 3982]
Do the Shia not know Muslims selected a leader between themselves while the Prophet was still living? *Prophet SAW sent army with the head being Zayd ib Haritha, then after him Ja'far ibn Abi tali and Abdullah ibn Rawaha in Bir Muta. All the leaders of the army get killed might God's peace be upon them.* Then Companions found themselves in front of enemy with no leader. You know what they did, they selected Khalid Ibn Walid from themselves as their leader. He was new comer to Islam and Prophet SAW not only approved their choice but he defended Khalid when some questioned his leadership and tactics. *Ya Shia, there is an example of Companions making shurah/consultation and selecting one from themselves.*
Br. Hijab... may Allah give you more knowledge and victory.. by the way I envy your language skills... lol... you are too good in English and Arabic.... that to me is the greatest of gifts.
Before the Safavid shia conquest of Iran in the 15th century, Iran was a majority Sunni country. Twelver Shiism was just a tiny heretical sect which seemed to be destined for nothing special. But when the Safavids, who were Twelver Shias, conquered Iran and forced it's population into Shiism, all of a sudden this tiny heretical sect became the 2nd largest sect in the muslim world. But the point is, Twelver Shiism was for centuries just a tiny insignificant heretical sect. Do the Shia really believe that Allah's religion was preserved for centuries by a tiny heretical sect.
I really do not see the reason to dispute between khalifa because if so then why did the Muslim nation then accept Abu Bakar as their khalifa at that time.
The Shia keeps saying "Allah chooses the divine leader". All Mohammed is asking him is where did Allah say that those specific Shia Imams were divinely chosen by Allah? Simple question. No answer. The following is my own opinion (please correct me if I have misunderstood): Regarding the passing of leadership from Prophet Muhammad to Abu Bakr to Umar to Uthman to Ali, there is a hadith where the Prophet mentioned each of their names in that specific order. This is proof that Allah divinely chose them to be Caliphs, because the Prophet never speaks other than what Allah tells him. Also, it ended up being in exactly that order that they became Caliph and the same order they died. That is not a coincidence at all. Consequently, the "election" which "made" Abu Bakr the Caliph, the "appointing" of Umar, the ijma" appointing Uthman, is all literally down to Allah. He planned it all beforehand and those humans decisions were divinely guided. Everything comes from Allah, including the choosing of Caliphs.
May Allah bless you brother hijab, keep up the sunni vs shia debates in shaa allah. I love watching them. You guys really need to let each other finish tho lol.
Calling this guy ... intellectual is an insult to intellectuals. This Shia is Miskeen! Wow, if this is what Shia intellectuals can muster, then alhamdulillah that we are the protectors of the religion of Allah!
Brother Muhammad You need to know this. Don't give these people your time and attention. They'll disappear if you don't give them attention and time. Focus more on non-muslims and try to look for sincere people and who don't deceive and use Tuqqya. Peace.
The strongest argument within entire Shia World for the Ali AS. to be a Successor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is Ghadir Khumm, but turth of the matter is the first one who understand and reject this hadith as a argument, is Ali AS. himself, because he never put forward this Hadith or any other hadith or Quran to claim to be a successor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). What it mean is Shias are claiming that they have better understanding of Ghadir Khumm than Ali AS. himself.
Muhammad Hijab. I don't knw how you remain as patient as u do with these Shia. mashaAllah. It must be so frustrating. I feel frustrated watching the ridiculous arguments they give. May Allah preserve u and keep us all on the correct understanding of his deen. Ameen. And may Allah Allah reward your efforts in trying to give them understanding.. I think it's time to save ur energy now. Third debate down and none of them want to speak about the 12 imams which they hold in such high esteem.. it's actually really funny to watch. They all become so defensive when u mention it lol. And everyone can see that. Don't waste your time anymore. I think it's safe to say JOB DONE.
I met arab Sunnis who know the importance of imam Ali (a.s), and it's because they're Arabs who read the Arabic Sunni books. I ask for everyone to ask Allah to guide them to the straight path.
I don't see why the Sunnis are getting so excited about Mohammad Hijabi, as if he won this debate, as if he is in the truth, etc. You Sunnis ignore every proof in the Quran al Kareem and your own books. How embarrassing.
