I am a Shia and I belong to a very orthodox Shia family. Never have I ever been taught to pray and curse anyone let alone the Sahabas(RA Ajmaeen). Its sad to see lots of Shias bring tradition, culture and centuries old political beliefs and merge it with religion. When you compare an average Shia and an average Sunni wallahi the difference is just that of a school of thought (like that of a Hanafi or a Maliki) but when you compare extremists like these it sadly makes it seem like there's a night and day difference between us. Its also very disappointing as a Shia to know that so many of the Sunnis will think this is how we are when in reality wallahi this is against the teaching of Rasoolullah(pbuh) and our own school of thought!

Reality is the Sahabah and Ahlu Bayt loved each other and respected each other. Imam Ali may God raise his rank actually named his children after some of the great Sahabah like Abu Bakr ibn Ali and Umar ibn Ali, easily verifiable. Would he name his children after someone he hates? Definitely not. I dont know how someone in their right mind can curse the honorable companions especially after the Prophet, peace be upon him, himself praised them. Hatred seems to cancel out free flowing love for others. The whole essence of Islam is cancelled out by Shia’s when they hate. And when they hate the Companions in prayer, surely the whole aim of prayer is cancelled out? A contradiction in itself then? Bowing down, glorifying God yet with hate in the heart. “Indeed, Allaah was pleased with the believers when they gave the Bay‘ah (pledge) to you (O Muhammad) under the tree, He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down As‑Sakeenah (calmness and tranquillity) upon them, and He rewarded them with a near victory” [al-Fath 48:18] Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in Tafseer al-Qur’aan al-‘Azeem (4/243): “He knew what was in their hearts” i.e., of sincerity and loyalty, and the willingness to hear and obey. At-Taubah 9:100 وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَٰنٍ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى تَحْتَهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًاۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ And the foremost to embrace Islâm of the Muhâjirûn (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansâr (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhâjirûn ) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.
Abdubakar and Umar are great people.The prophet saw said if l could choose frend other than Allah l could choose Abdubakar asidiq ,Ali Ra said the great man after the prophet is Abdubakar asidiq.The prophet said if their was another prophet after me it would be Umar Al Farooq.The best people after the prophet Muhammad are the sahaba they sacrifice their lives for the course of Allah set.
@@fahrinazri7254 I know for sure, and its a verdict from our scholars to not curse specific people, so that unity among Muslims is maintained. Thus whoever curses the them is not doing the right thing. But I really recommend you to read books about death/martyrdom of the Sayedah Fatimah, daughter of Prophet (saw). According to many of Shia historians and a few Sunni historians too, attack on Imam Ali (as)'s house was commanded by Abu Bakr and propagated by Omar. This is just one part of why we think the first three caliphs were unjust. Then there are many other things, them denying the command of Prophet at Ghadeer e Khum, rejecting appeal and witnesses of daughter of Prophet (as) bibi Fatimah (sa) for the Garden of Fidak, usurping the caliphate, waging war against Imam (as). I myself can't say history is a 100% true, but this is my Aqeedah and I strive to learn other views and aspects.

And most of the things you and some Shia talked about the first three caliphs are weong amd taken from trouble maker qazzab liar narratera of hadeeth and they are unreliable not just in sunni hadeeths but in shia hadeeths also. The reality is that Imam Ali A.S and their family give the names of first three caliphs to their children as a sign of respect for them. And people only wants to name their children on their beloved's name. So please you should read about all this properly from wise and neutral sources. Even Imam Ali A.S also accept the khilalafa of first three caliphs by his own will no one force him and non have the power to forced any decision on him. He was the Sword of Allah. A man came and asked permission to enter. The Prophet علیہ السلام said, Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise. Behold! It was Abu Bakr. Another man came and asked the permission to enter. The Prophet علیہ السلام said, Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise. Behold! It was `Umar. Then another man came, asking the permission to enter. The Prophet علیہ السلام kept silent for a short while and then said, Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise with a calamity which will befall him. Behold! It was `Uthman bin `Affan. `Asim, in another narration, said that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم was sitting in a place where there was water, and he was uncovering both his knees or his knee, and when `Uthman entered, he covered them (or it). ................ Sahih Bukhari 3671: Narrated Muhammad bin Al-Hanafiya: I asked my father (`Ali bin Abi Talib علیہ السلام), Who are the best people after Allah's Apostle ? He said, Abu Bakr. I asked, Who then? He said, Then `Umar. I was afraid he would say Uthman, so I said, Then you? He said, I am only an ordinary person.

Then he sat up and placed his left leg under him; he put his left hand on his left thigh and knee, and he put the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh, then he held two of his fingers together and made a circle, and raised his forefinger, and I saw him moving it and supplicating with it.

How can you curse them when Allah clearly says in *(Surah Tawbah verse 100)* to follow the Muhajirun who are the Sahabas from Mecca and to follow the Ansar who are the Sahabas from Medina who helped the Muhajirun.

I was born into an Iraqi Shia family but I have no fucking clue what this man is doing... I am 33 and just started wearing hijab and taught myself how to pray by watching RU-vid vids.... But this is confusing... When I told my dad how I was praying (arms crossed) he freaked and said your fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore-fore father's were all Shia how can you just decide to be Sunni? Lol.. my logic is if 90% are Sunni and only 10% are Shia then I'll go with the majority. I actually used to explain to any nonbelievers when I wasn't practicing (may Allah forgive me) that the Shia sect is considered kuffar and was kinda proud since it gave me an excuse not to practise. Overall, from what I understand sects are forbidden in the Qur'an and weren't a thing at the time of our Prophet (SAW) And Allah knows best may He guide us all.

@@shahzaibhassan209 have you read the history I have so I can say , when Uthman Ra was murdered people blamed Ali Ra and aisha Ra received a messenger from Ali Ra and a meeting was arranged and Aisha RA said I don't believe what they are saying ( that Ali Ra have Uthman Ra murdered) and they both went back to there tents and then the people who were actually involved in the killing of Uthman Ra were in the ranks of both sides and they started a fire at both side and then when the war erupted without Aisha RA and Ali Ra knowing about it , Aisha RA went in to stop the war but when the soldiers from the side of Ali Ra started attacking her she defended herself and eventually lost if she was the wrong , Ali Ra would have her killed for breaking the treaty.

He has in his ‘Sahih’ compiled a chapter (bab) on the merits of Ali Radi Allahu `anhu titled: Chapter on the Virtues of `Ali bin Abi Talib al-Qarshi al-Hashimi Abi’l Hasan Radi Allahu Ta’ala `anhu بابُ مَنَاقِبِ عَلِيِّ بنِ أبِي طالِبٍ القُرَشِّيُّ الْهَاشِمِيِّ أبِي الحَسَنِ رَضِي الله تَعَالَى عنهُ Similarly he has a chapter on the virtues of Ja’far bin Abi Talib, Hasan and Hussain, Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu `anhum. There is also a chapter on the general merits of the relatives of the Prophet ﷺ. He has also narrated hadith, tafsir and the fiqhi opinions of members of the Prophet’s family not only of Sayyidina `Ali or Ibn `Abbas Radi Allahu `anhum but also including the later ones such as Muhammad al-Baqir (Rahimahullah). The people of the Sunnah and their have always honored and esteemed the relatives of the Prophet ﷺ and have cleared them of the lies, heresies, exaggerations and distortions which fanatical partisans and heretics have falsely attributed to them.The narration of Hilyat al Auliya Sulaiman ibn Ahmed narrated to us-Ahmed ibn Ibrahim ibn Kaysan narrated to us-Ismail ibn ‘Amr al Bajali narrated to us-Mus’ir ibn Kadam narrated to us-from Talhah ibn Musarrif-from ‘Amirah ibn Sa’d who reports: I clearly remember ‘Ali standing on the pulpit and asking the Companions of Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam on oath. Among them were Abu Sa’id, Abu Hurairah, and Anas ibn Malik who were sitting around the pulpit while ‘Ali was on the pulpit. Around the pulpit were twelve men, among them were the above individuals. ‘Ali announced, “I ask you in the name of Allah, did you hear Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam saying, ‘Whoever’s friend I am, ‘Ali is his friend?’” All of them stood up and replied positively on oath besides one man who kept on sitting. ‘Ali asked him, “What prevented you from standing?” He replied, “O Amir al Mu’minin, I have grown old and I forgot.” ‘Ali supplicated, “O Allah, if he is lying, afflict him with a befitting trial.” The narrator says: He did not pass away until we saw a white mark between his eyes (on his forehead), which the turban could not conceal. Mas’ud is the only narrator from Talhah. [Hilyat al Auliya, vol. 5 pg. 26, 27] Answer: Firstly, this narration does not mention who the culprit was. It just says that one man kept sitting and was cursed by Sayyidina ‘Ali radiyallahu ‘anhu. Secondly, this narration is da’if (weak) as ‘Amirah ibn Sa’d is majhul (unknown). Yahya al Qattan says, “He was not relied upon.” [Mizan al I’tidal, vol. 5 pg. 358] The narration of Musnad Ahmed ‘Abdullah narrated to us-Ahmed ibn ‘Umar al Waki’i narrated to us-Zaid ibn al Hubab narrated to us-Walid ibn ‘Uqbah ibn Nizar al Qaisi narrated to us-Simak ibn ‘Abid ibn al Walid al ‘Absi narrated to us saying: I entered the presence of ‘Abdur Rahman ibn Abi Layla who narrated to me that he saw ‘Ali in al Rahbah saying, “I ask in the name of Allah a person who heard Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam and saw him on the Day of Ghadir Khum to stand up; only one who saw him should stand.” Twelve men stood up and testified, “We certainly saw him and heard him saying after taking his (‘Ali) hand, ‘O Allah, befriend the one who befriend him, show animosity to the one who hates him, assist the one who assists him, and forsake the one who forsakes him.’” Three men did not stand up. He cursed them and his curse afflicted them. [Musnad Ahmed, vol. 2 pg. 270, 271, Hadith: 964] Answer: Firstly, this narration does not mention anything about Sayyidina Anas ibn Malik radiyallahu ‘anhu. Secondly, the narration is da’if due to Walid ibn ‘Uqbah and Simak ibn ‘Ubaid being majhul. [Mizan al I’tidal, vol. 7 pg. 135]I say that his statement of Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu being an exaggerator is a lie. What exaggeration did Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu do, when he is the hafiz whom we know, the Mufti which the Ummah relied upon after the demise of the senior Sahabah. Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu was amongst those who resided in Madinah as a recourse for people in their din and shari’ah, after the Sahabah settled in the various cities of Islam to teach and tutor its people. We will reply in detail to his allegations but first it is imperative to clarify that Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu was no exaggerator but was the same as all the other ‘Ulama’ amongst the Sahabah, who issued rulings when it was sought from them, and answered when they were asked. He was not excessive, neither during the era of the al Khulafaʾ al Rashidin nor after them. On the contrary, people understood his reliability, recognised his status and awarded him the honour he deserved. Numerous were those who travelled great distances just to see Abu Hurairahradiya Llahu ‘anhu and many were those who would come to him seeking a ruling or a hadith, in the presence of the senior Sahabah. Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu did not narrate such a large number of ahadith of his own accord but people relied upon his excellent memory and desired to benefit from it. What crime did he commit in this? His deep knowledge and excellent memory was attested to by Ibn ‘Umar, Talhah ibn ‘Ubaidullah, Zubair radiya Llahu ‘anhum, and many others. When asked about his abundant narrations, he replied: What sin have I committed, if I remembered and they forgot. It is reported in the books of the Shia[2] under the chapter: The miracles of the Messenger of Allah where his supplications were accepted: أن أبا هريرة قال لرسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم إني أسمع منك الحديث الكثير أنساه ، قال : أبسط رداك قال : فبسطته فوضع يده فيه ثم قال : ضمّه فضممته، فما نسيت كثيرا بعده Verily Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhusaid to the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, “I hear many ahadith from you but forget.” The Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam instructed him to spread his shawl and he did. The Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam then placed his hand in it and said, “Hold it tightly.” Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu says, “I then held it tightly and I did not forget thereafter.” What crime did Abu Hurairah radiya Llahu ‘anhu commit if the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam supplicated to Allah for him to be granted an excellent memory? On the other hand, the Shia believe that the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam supplicated for ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu to be granted understanding and knowledge, after which he never forgot any verse of the Qurʼan. It is reported in Bihar al Anwar that the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam taught ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu one thousand chapters. عن سليم بن قيس عن أمير المؤمنين (ع) قال : كنت إذا سألت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم أجابني ، وإن فنيت مسائلي ابتدأني ، فما نزلت عليه آية في ليل ولا نهار ولا سماء ولا أرض ولا دنيا ولا آخرة ولا جنة ولا نار ولا سهل ولا جبل ولا ضياء ولا ظلمة إلا أقرأنيها وأملاها عليّ ، وكتبت بيدي وعلّمني تأويلها وتفسيرها ومحكمها ومتشابهها وخاصها وعامها ، وكيف نزلت وأين نزلت وفيمن أنزلت إلى يوم القيامة ، دعا الله لي أن يعطيني فهماّ وحفظاّ ، فما نسيت آية من كتاب الله ، ولا على من أنزلت أملاه عليّ Sulaim ibn Qais reports from Amir al Muʼminin ‘Ali ‘alayh al Salam, “Whenever I would ask the Messenger of Allahsalla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam anything, he would answer me. When I had no questions to ask, he would exhort me. There was no verse that descended upon him in the night or the day, regarding the heavens or the earth, this world or the hereafter, Jannat or Jahannam, ease or adversity, light or darkness except that he recited it to me, dictated it to me and I wrote it with my hand. He taught me its interpretation, commentary, clear meaning and unclear meaning, general and specific, the manner in which it was revealed, where it was revealed and regarding whom it was revealed until the Day of Qiyamah. He supplicated to Allah to grant me understanding and memory; I never forgot a verse from the Book of Allah after that or regarding whom it was revealed, which he dictated to me.”[3] Thus, what crime did ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhucommit if the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam supplicated for Allah to grant him an excellent memory? What wrong did he do if the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam taught him one thousand chapters, as the Shia presume
