Awwww Mann I owed one amazing DOGS!!! SOO CUTE BUT STUBBORN INDEPENDENT hate water..But man so worth it! Also this one is extremely well trained as my Tiger would have been crying and making a fuss haha so yeah theure hard to train but can be :)
Shibas do have their moments but they learn very quickly. They also learn from other dogs in the house too. I have seven year old bitch two year dog and one year old. When the last one was puppy few weeks old. she allowed me to put on table and groom her. Soon other two dogs wanted that attention too. Now I have three puppies 4 month old learning with the treats.
You blew, brushed, and blew again. And three minutes in I could've sworn there was no more hair, but then you brushed some more and there was STILL HAIR. Dear God.
@@redshibaman LOL!!! people that have not experienced that have no clue how insane the amount you can pull daily while they blow out. Each day it's like there's a whole dog laying next to them as you brush them out. It's shocking how much fur they lose and just doesn't seem possible. every time you think you have it all, there's always still more and more. You could knit a winter snowsuit for 3 people out of it! They also look like two different dogs when they have their undercoat and when they don't!
Several people have asked me to show what tools (combs, brushes) I use when my Shiba(s) is/are shedding. Well, here they are. The first comb is a "Greyhound-comb". There are many look-a-likes, so make sure, when you want one, to check if it's a real Greyhound comb. www.shiba-inu.nl/images/Img_7796.jpg www.shiba-inu.nl/images/Img_7795.jpg www.shiba-inu.nl/images/Img_7794.jpg www.shiba-inu.nl/images/Img_7793.jpg and of course the aqua blower: www.shiba-inu.nl/images/Img_7801.jpg
What a wonderfully trained Shiba to stand there and be patient with the grooming! I'm amazed they shed so much like a husky! I never realised! Fun to watch!
What smart and proud dogs! It knows you're doing it a great favor getting rid of all that excess hair. Patiently it stands there, knowing it'll get relieved like a sheep and made fluffy and gorgeous. Good to see someone take such good care of these beautiful dogs!
Under the force of the blower, countless scraps of the shiba's essence are separated from its very being and drift away. Soon, this canine will be nothing but a fine dusting of hair floating in the wind, leaving naught but the memories of its passing and the faint aroma of dog. This man must be stopped at all costs.
Wow, you have a whole other dog living under there :D. Has he always been that calm, or did you have to train him to stand still for you? If the latter, may I ask how you did it? Also, is this what you do to keep him fluffy, or is he fluffy regardless? I ask these questions because my Shiba is only calm when we take her some place she doesn't visit regularly(like the vet), she hates grooming of any kind(she gotten a little better with nail clipping, but it's still a 2 person job). She was also extremely fluffy when she was a puppy, but now her fur is mostly sleek.
For some of you that like to know how Keeper is doing now, here's a picture of him, that was made a few weeks ago. He is nealry 9 years old: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2557035610976337&set=a.2557035457643019&type=1&theater
Wat een mooie shiba!! Prachtig! En ja...het is een hele klus als in de rui zijn...maar dat nemen we voor lief voor al het moois wat onze shibas aan ons geven.
Beautiful Dog! Thank you for sharing your video on how to brush them out. I need to do this to our Shiba. I think mine is a mix, she doesn't have such a "Fox" look in her face. Everything else is similar. Thank you again.
i love your smiling face while u taking care of your shiba, really can tell u love them so much and the shiba is enjoying too.I wish u and your shiba can live happily and healthy !^^(boy they shedd a lot!)
What kind of training did you use to keep your Shiba behaved in the show stance for this? Just treats, positive reinforcement, and lots of handling conditioning?
When a puppy that I bred stays with me, I start table training at a very young age. That is somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks. Of course most important of all is that the pup experiences this training in a very positive way. That can be a treat, that can be a friendly pet or kind words. That should be the basis of all training. There are more videos of show training at home (outside) on my channel.
This is amazing. There is no way my shiba Mochi would stand there calmly like that. He wouldn't stop fidgeting. It might take me 3 hours to do this...Thanks for the video! This is great!
That aqua blower thing is brilliant, I'm gonna get one when I move to Texas. Over here my neighbors won't be too appreciative :) I have an Syberian Laika mix, takes about the same amount of time to groom. I can't imagine how sore your back must be after you've done all of them!
Hi mongo, my cats would have run hiding as soon as they the discover something close to a vacuum cleaner...I didn't know that Shiba Imus shed quite heavily and the fur seems to need a lot of care. Beautiful animals. Greetings Conny
That's a beautiful dog! How many days does shedding last? I am going to get Shiba soon, can you please give me some advice about training and exercises :) ?
