Thank you!!! Such a wonderful video --- Perfectly paired with sublime music. As I grow older I find myself watching more videos about Japan and reliving happy memories from living there. Though we lived on base my mother refused to spend one minute more there than she had to --- and off we would go to discover the countryside and the beauty of Japan. I wasn't blessed with her gift for language but to this day hearing Japanese just seems so right and so calming.

Thanks, Marshall. I really appreciate your comment. I make videos as a hobby and enjoy my time doing it for artistically better and practically useful videos without other tactics. Your comment helps it to reach more viewers. Thank you.

Enjoyed your video very much. Only a few RU-vidrs filmed this place so I'm glad you did. My wife and I were there in April (it snowed), stayed in a budget ryokan (min 10:21) across from bath #2 or #3, and went to all 9 baths! Another gorgeous and most unique onsen town with free communal baths is Kannawa in Beppu.

Could you advise when your video was shot in.e. Year, month and week ? There is just enough snow but not too much.

@@Traveljet14 This video was shot in mid-February last year. It often snows in the month of February there, at least the ground is covered with snow at that time of the year.

Great video! We just booked the same ryokan and are excited to visit this fall. Did you have a chance to try the nine baths with the key the ryokan provided, and if so how were they?
@panshots6881
@panshots6881 Год назад
Thanks for watching. We tried a couple of the public baths. They are nice, but the baths within the ryokan are much nicer and private with a free reservation. Definitely not to miss. Enjoy your trip!

My wife and I went to all 9 baths in April. Each one is slightly different but they were all small and very hot. Well-worth the trip.

Great video! Interested to book the same ryokan. Aside from free shuttle from yudanaka station to the ryokan, does the ryokan also provide shuttle to snow monkey park?
@panshots6881
@panshots6881 10 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching. The ryokan does not provide shuttle to the park on a regular basis, but will offer one upon request (at least in our case) within a time period during the day. They are super nice. Because we wanted to get to the park early before the park open time (9 am) to beat the crowds (it could get very crowded later in the day), we took the bus, which is about 5 min walk to the bus stop. The ryokan has the detailed bus schedule. Enjoy your trip!
