The King is right, all about tradition and loyalty. My Daddy was a Race Car Driver, Stock 1/4 mi. Mopar Man with multiple trophies (yet appreciated all cars). At 72 years young, Daddy bought his dream car, a 1970 AAR 'CUDA 340 6-PAK. Neighbors would run outside when they heard that roar, just to get a glimpse of that elusive beauty! I continue the tradition with my Dodge Challenger. (I miss my Dad❣️) Mopar to you!!😎

Your dad is like my husband. In 57 his 300 hemi would play with the 57 belairs, he said they were pretty but slow

To this day it feels weird to me to see the 43 not sporting a Dodge badge on the front of the car

Richard Petty has so much knowledge around Mopars and stock car racing in general. I would PAY to have a 10th of the knowledge that man carries, thanks for sharing!

NASCAR look to the past my guys. This is what i grew up watching and why i am still a faithful follower, in hopes it might one day be what it once was. But each passing year i find myself more disappointed. Like this year a handful of races i couldnt waych because they were only on fs1, a streaming platform i would have to pay for only to watch one race a week. Im a blue collar die hard fan, of the pedigree nascar was born from. Please don't forget where you came from. Please.

It would have been nice if MASCAR in ‘65 would have let Ford with the Cammer and Chrysler with the Hemi slug it out with no restrictions.

It would have been better if NASCAR had let both the sohc Ford and the up-and-coming 426 dohc engine battle it out.

I'll follow NASCAR as long as Richard Petty is associated with it. After that, I'm done.

Cammer would've kicked Hemi's butt, but NASCAR banned it before it was allowed to race.

Ford got their "HEMI" in 69 with the Boss 429 and still couldn't do anything with the Dodge Hemis.

@@jeffezell8532 Its not like David Pearson won a 1969 championship while driving a Ford Torino, right?

We won't even mention Petty and how many championships he won. Also, NASCAR made Chrysler shrink the engine to smaller cubes so that the Fords would be competitive. Ford had some great cars and engines, but Dodge & Plymouth had them too.

Don't forget David Pearson aka the Silver Fox also had a victorious winning record driving Ford!
