I don't think he EVER got or was sober unfortunately. Surprised he lived this long. He survived a coma and was given another chance. Sad when you see someone go from top, to rock rock bottom :( Addiction is no joke. All of the critics are the people whom never been addicted to anything.
Born in77 here and we should be better than this but at the end of the day she ain’t nothing but a number. RIP Shifty, music has lost another get soul.
"Song"??? This isn't even close. Never heard of him. Some article referred to this guy as a "90s music legend". Really? I very much doubt that. Cause of death has not been released, 0:30. Really? Anyone want to hazard a guess? Well, you would be right. "It’s now been confirmed it was an overdose, with the band’s manager, Howie Hubberman, revealing that drugs played a role in his death." No loss. He probably couldn't function without being on drugs. That's "talent"? NOPE! .

@@taxicamelThe fact that you don't know about him doesn't make him not a legend. He sold million albums. You got any talent ? Nope. He did thousands of shows. Quite a certain longevity for a talentless dude. Spread your hate and dumbness somewhere else.
This is so tragic. I always thought this band deserved more back in the day. It is so disturbing that nearly half of the original band is deceased now 😯.
They play the song at work a couple times a week, when they played it monday morning, i got curious of how he was doing and how old he was, forgot to look him up yesterday, then seen this news today, so weird and sad. R.I.P
Goodness gracious this is really sad. I enjoyed the hell out of "Butterfly" but follow the rest of their stuff. Recently noticed he lost his teeth and now for this is so sad.
Seth Brooks Binzer (August 23, 1974 - June 24, 2024), better known by his stage name Shifty Shellshock,[10] was an American vocalist, best known for cofounding and fronting the rap rock band Crazy Town, known for their hit song "Butterfly", and less for his solo career. He abused substances throughout much of his life and appeared on the reality television series Celebrity Rehab and Sober House. R.I.P.
Sending love and support to all the family members and friends. 💔 Thank you for all you have done and given this world. Please know you will be missed.
It went from not losing to many celebrities this year to losing a heap within this past week . Feels like one every day ! Rip Shifty loved your tunes ! 💞🤘🏼💞
Rip shifty 💔 I remember being 16 when they would play them non stop on mtv, my bro, and I would get ready for school and eat breakfast watching and listening to random videos on mtv and vh1. Never got into crazy town, but every time I hear this song, I think about the good old days
Ya when MTV and vh1 was gd. I used to do the same. They played bands like crazytown, korn, limp bizkit, slipknot, pod, orgy, system of a down,Marilyn Manson, and many more right before school. Then other genres of music. Those were the days.
Very sad. As an opiate addict myself (clean for 17+ years) I know how hard it is to fight addiction. The best possible fight against addiction is to never go down that road in the first place because once your there it's insanely hard to get back to where you were. When your young it never seems like it's going to be a problem until one day you can't stop. RIP Shifty! You're addiction is finally gone and I hope your rocking out hard in Heaven!
Man, another one? I was just adding Dark Cloud to a new playlist the other day and browsing through some of their other songs, what a trip. Dude was in and out of addiction, rehab, sobriety and relapse but his demons in the last few years really got a hold of him. RIP
I just read yesterday in an article he passed away. My first thought was he probably OD'd. I heard about his struggles with addiction in the past. Very sad. RIP ❤
Love is in the air you’re like the answer to my prayers all I wanted was a girl that could really take me there now ya do that you do- I must have met a million girls but I want you ⚡️you’re the one, you’re the one fly girl that’s right you’re the one for me… one of my favorite songs from good old high school days… Rest in Paradise
Hollywood Babylon, Face The Music, Black Cloud, Decorated, Beautiful, Hurt You So Bad, Toxic, Darkside, Lollipop Porn, and there’s plenty of other songs I grew up listening to Crazytown from my mom’s old cds of the bands albums she has I know a lot of songs by Crazytown
@@ShawnVielee tell that to the other 99% of people who only know the 1 hit lmao.....they'll probably be in the rock and roll hall of shame soon enough lmao!
Crazy that he just passed! I'd be listening to Butterfly heavy recently reminiscing on the early 00's. Then watching stuff on his struggles with drug abuse and wondered how he was even still alive at 49... NEXT thing you know!! Boom I find out he dies.. R.I.P bud!!!
