Hi Nathan I bought a Shijie strat as below followed it up with a tele . Huge difference in the two and my thoughts . There have been some quality issues that were not picked up but overall they are great playing sounding guitars . I’m a huge Suhr fan to and am HAVING to change the pickups over on the STE .will do my own video this weekend on my experience . But just gotta say t think your video is exceptional

Great review! Looks like a great guitar. I must say, however, that I don't like the colors at all (they look like popsicles), just as I don't like the 50s automotive colors of Fenders. The only one I would find tolerable is the vintage white, not featured here. But, from everything I see on this and other reviews, it seems to be extremely well made. The Shijie factory video is impressive. A lot of hands on work. If I were buying a Strat style guitar I think this would be it.

I got black, amber, and gold, all three are beautiful colors!!! The necks are the best feeling I've ever played, maple and rosewood both, they feel like wood with a very thin coating to protect it - they feel better than nitro finished to me. Pickups sound GREAT.

I have the STE-Relic HSS. I did some modding to it because it was needed. First, and foremost, the bridge humbucker was standard spaced. Look at the pole pieces, and notice that the low and high E strings aren’t over the poles. That was a tough pill for me to swallow, since I noticed the output was weaker. So I replaced it with a SD JB Trembucker (TB-4), spaced at 52.5mm. I also tweaked the wiring to auto split the JB in position 2. The stock wiring was a full humbucker with middle single coil. The wiring was also well done, although they used cheaper thin gauge wire throughout. The leads to the output jack were also straight, and the output jack generic. So I replaced the output with a Puretone and twisted the leads using shrink tubing. I’m still torn with the 500K Alpha pots. But it plays like a dream.
@guitarsunite2399

Agree, the only thing that could be better would be to offer pickup and wiring options, other than that they really are a top set up and well worth it.
@KapnKregg
@KapnKregg Год назад
I wonder if this has changed recently? Looking at some newer Shijie guitars with HSS configuration, the photos show that the strings align perfectly over the pole pieces on the rear humbucker.

Just ordered one with a white perloid pkate and deep dark roast neck they call the custom pro series here in the U.K. . Was a choice between this abs a choice between this and a secondhand elite hss or a blade RH4 . Not concerned about resale value from looking round I’d say for now you lose more on a mex player plus.

I got mine yesterday and it is a serious bit of kit. Re- all reviews! Same, not one thing questionable. I don't or have ever played a custom shop Strat. I do have a PRS se -pleked- which is a dream to play and a beautiful axe. I honestly have to say this for the sharjaa (yes a touch heavy) but wow! I've never touched a custom shop, but if this is only 1/2 way there, which I doubt then I saved quite a bit. Re-Shipping. Talk to Dave. Invoice may be reduced 👍😊

Hey, I haven't personally played the Charvel but it looks to compare well, I believe the Shijie TM compares well against the Ibanez AZ series. Looking to buy an ssh. Been researching shijie and talking with their rep for a few weeks. Would you say the quality is comparable to a Kiesel? I could spec out a Delos for a couple hundred more. That pink ssh was actually the one I’m thinking of buying

@aishaish1885 3 года назад
Hi Brandon, I haven't seen or played the Keisel before sorry but what I see on their site they seem really nice and have fairly good specs and are priced well too, The finishes might possibly not be as good as Shijie eg maple skunk stripe, and immaculate frets, etc they may be more mass-produced oppose handcrafted like Shijie...Something to look into, so I'd suggest researching to find how quality control is with Kiesel as I can say from what I have seen/experienced with Shijie they are great! good luck

@GuitarVictor
@GuitarVictor Месяц назад
You’d think wrong. Shijie and Eart are made by different factories and both are family owned businesses. Shijie’s specialty is small production top quality; Eart’s specialty is efficient production, acceptable quality. Shijie competes with premium brands in terms of quality, Eart shines in the 400> price range. Source: I have visited their factory, last year’s Music China I performed for Eart guitars, I know both brands personally and I can tell you with absolute certainty that the only thing both brands have in common is that the sales rep that used to work at Shijie, went on to start his own brand: Enxi (one of whose guitars I also own, and it’s a great guitar too), and ended up working at Eart. Nice guy too. In terms of quality, QC, materials, sound, construction, attention to detail, sound, playability; understanding of the instrument; Shijie is the superior brand and they really do understand and listen to musicians; as the people there actually play guitar; unlike at most of the factories in Asia.

The point is they are around $900 look and sound like strats and teles. We all have the choice but are they really better than a good second hand or new Squire for a fraction of the price. I live in China and even if I collected from the factory they want $898 for a standard tele. Only the body is made there and neck shaped from Canadian maple and pickups from Japan . Of course they way they assemble and finish is excellent and the Trust rod idea is good but so what , how many times do you adjust the trust rod . Even so I am considering getting one . That or a Squire vibe 50s classic and save $500
