Trenless always likes ships nobody else likes. But I also think it’s a try thing. You have to get used to ships and experience it. Trenless is pretty good in shiki but plays different then flambino does here
To be fair to the shiki, you did not get a good broadside during that whole game. And I used to have games just like that one in my yama every now and then too, where the shells just went everywhere. I distinctly remember one where I shot four or five broadsiding cruisers at less than 12 km, and ended that game with no citadels and less than 70k dmg.
@Flambass. That's not really representative. Just because you had bad RNG in a round with the Shiki and opponents who can dodge doesn't mean the Shiki is a bad ship. In the Yama Match, on the other hand, you had a conquerer which showed broadside and a Mino which is a easy snack.
Sure, but I'm betting his opinion want formulated via this one match. I def don't think the shiki is a "bad" ship, but there are alot more "bad RnG" games than good. Its a meme ship, not an effective one.(in my opinion)
No, you don't understand. Carriers' flight decks were designed to withstand battleship grade armour piercing rounds. In fact, it was common strategy for the US fleet to send CVs forward to tank the shells for the rest of the fleet.
Flambass the T10 cvs have 87-95mm on deck. Even on the German you’ll bounce, on the British it’s 50/50 cause not all deck is armored. Shikishima can’t overmatchmore than 35mm deck.
Been playing for 5 years, Yamato only reason I started playing as I absolutely love her and was my first T10 ship, i still play her from time to time and it's always a blast, but unfortunately for her, I love my Kleber more now 😂❤️
It’s not that, it’s the infection in his face from sticking his hands in his mouth and nose while streaming, than wiping down his face with his fingers after. Not everyone has good hygiene.
It's wrong to compare two ships when almost everything decided by RNG god. In your Shiki game you got an enemy CV completely obsessed with you which you cannot utilize dead eye as much as with your Yama game. And people tend to play careful against Shiki because when it's guns connects, oh boy. I got deleted in my Kremlin within 2 salvos by Shiki:)
Wg don’t want to make a ship with ‘bigger’ guns than Yamato - basically with better pen than Yamato. At the moment the extra pen you get from Shika doesn’t really allow you to overmatch anything Yamato can’t.
I use spotter plane just to see ships hiding behind islands. Plus the fighter plane is useless anyway. It just flys in circles and shoots down maybe 3 planes max. Usually 1 plane then returns to the ship.
As time passes, I agree less and less with him. I remember when he went through a bunch of test ships a whiel ago. He came to the Harekaze II (Arashi at the time), spent lke 10 seconds looking at the ship, and he just dismissed it as grabage... The ship is actually good and fun... His loss, and everyone's foolish enough to blindly listen to him.
I know this is a fantasy game, but historically there was a reason why guns of over 18" calibre were not a thing - barrel droop. Quite simply the gun barrels would droop under their own weight, especially when warm after firing. They were just impractical. Looks like RNG is accidentally modeling that! :)
The metallurgy of nations in the early twentieth century varied greatly. Germany was at the top in that regard. France was right behind them. Germany in employing the giant field guns in both world wars had issues but the quality of the material they used for the guns was not an issue.
@@xhawkeye8717 Agreed. Note the biggest calibre guns used on land were short barrelled seige howitzers, where barrel droop doesn't tend to happen. The long ranged rail carriage mounted guns were not any bigger than naval guns, but used external support structures anyway to keep the weight down for rail transport. Doubtless with modern steels we could build 20" or bigger self supporting long guns now, but they couldn't back then, even with the best steel available to the time. As I said though, WoWs is a fantasy game so I suppose it doesn't really matter.
YOYO Mr. FLAMU. Just one question? If SHIKISHIMA is sooooo bad? Why has it been picked so often during KoTs? Which according to them is the pinnacle of competitive gaming in WoWs. :) _don't have this ship. just saying. It's a rather serious question, cause I did ask myself why some liked to use shiki._
I mean, Shikishima’s 510mm shell is equivalent of a 2000 kilogram armor piercing bomb falling from the sky at a few hundred meters per second speed, you would expect it to deal at least some kind of damage to a 87mm thick deck
ITs Amazing.. you have CVs that are on the other side of the match.. no other ships can reach them in the first 10 minutes by any other ship, they can hit with impunity to all other ships. And WG is "Oh.. people are using Shikishima or Yamato to snipe our cvs, THATS ILLEGAL.. lets increase deck armor to make all ships useless" No seriously .. CVs = almost impossible to damage on distance, you can't set on fire, planes are now nearly unkillable unless you're halland or austin or worcester and/or having 6 ships packed together into a Shima torpedo fiesta.
Trying to explain to WG that not because having 1 turret with 1 gun in one ship, with the damage proportionally fixed, with the same sigma and horizontal than yammy and shiki, makes the ship equally accurrate.
The thing in this game really is that some ships just hate you.. I have 60+ WR with 80k+ average damage on seattle, worcester with 71% wr and even Dallas and Omaha are 60+% WR. But helena for some reason decided "yeah, 30k average dmg and 43% WR is fine" Even in cleveland I have 56% wr 60k average. Some ships just hate you
Yeah, the jump from VIII to X also increases the deck armor thickness for all carriers - enough to ricochet all AP in the game. Best AP overmatch is 35mm with _Shikishima's_ 510mm guns, but Tier X carriers have 95mm decks for Japan, 87mm for U.S., 50mm for Germany, and 102mm-38mm-25mm for U.K. So the only one you can partially overmatch is _Audacious_ by aiming for the 25mm tips at each end of her deck. With these kinds of armor thickness, the only thing which can damage Japanese/U.S. decks are German or U.K. 380mm+ battleship guns with 1/4 pen HE.
I think they nerfed the gun sound. it doesn't sound as powerful and mighty as when it came out. if you don't believe me look at the difference between the sounds from release day and now. I lost all interest in shiki.
WG should bring Yamato Hull #4 into the game as the third Yamato class ship. Japan had planned on building 4 Yamato class ships. Two were launched. The third (Shinano) was converted to a carrier and the fourth hull was cancelled. After the 4 Yamato ships would've been built, Japan was planning on making 2 Project A-150 BBS. That would've been something along the lines of the Shikishima or the upcoming "super" Yamato. The final A-150 specs were still up in the air before they were cancelled.
German BB line taught me to ignore any ship sporting less than 8 barrels, especially 2-barrel turrets. I think a lot of BB players mistake the class for a sniper, but I have a lot of success playing mine like shotguns, creating temporary nope-zones for enemy ships exposing their armour. As Yuro once memed, 'more dispersion = bigger citadel chance', and more shells makes that happen.
Herr Flambass is cruel 🥺 just RNG God hate Shikishima 😁 and loves Yammy, just a question is that karma thing punish or reward players?? I think karma did nothing??
Vertical dispersion issues are what plague this thing. You either have a amazing game or a junk game. I don't like it either and barely play it since it's wildly inconsistent.
@@matsab7930 Yamato i get it cuz its amazing with the legendary and still very good without when u do a full salvo. Those 2 or 3 extra shells make a huge difference. Shiki tho they really should tighten it up a bit. Not too much. I get it has a fast reload but that doesnt matter when you only have one chance at a broadside or someone spotted for a brief second. Which happens very often.
I mean clearly it's the player and not the ship in this case, but that happens to the best of us. You just don't gel with a ship sometimes. I had that with Donskoi, somehow hated the ship even though it was the fastest T9 grind I ever did.
Back in the day when Yamato and monty were the only t10 bb I got Monty first and it was the biggest mistake in my wows career. It's always been one of the worst ships in game, I probably have less than 100 battles in it because it is the least fun BB to play.
To be fair your aim wasn't very on point that game, plus not a lot of broadsides. Against the Yama you shot waaay too much to the right at least twice iirc, which could be decisive shot(s) if nailed. Then against stationary Monty idk why you aimed at the superstructure. Waterline would have been much better, since all that salvo did was one overpen to the superstructure, an the rest missed, mostly too high. Next shots were also poorly shot since you saw they went over Montana's nose since she was slow, the next two salvos could have been better if aimed a bit to the right... Don't get me wrong I don't think it would have changed the outcome by that much, but not trying to get citadels in Shiki will for sure result in a bad match. But I guess it's normal for the mental&performance to go down when you play a ship you psychologically hate :/ TLDR kinda disappointed about the rant even tho the aiming was meh (meh aim won't help meh accuracy), but still love you, and delete CVs
@@trololoev so a 30km shot where the shells are practically falling 70+degrees and not to mention these are 51cm shells cant pen 100mm? when AP bombs can.
@@trololoev if you are still building that peace of sheet for secondary's I will have to assume you are a bad player and whether you know if flambass is bad at playing it is an irrelevant opinion.
@@droidmotorola3884 Flambass not a bad at playing warships, but bad at playing at this particular ship. Also secondaries still has great angle of fire and still pen 32mm. And also they give 10% reload on main guns.
Are you saying that HE is a bad idea on GK? My average dmg got a good bump when i started using alot more HE in that thing. The switch to AP against cruisers and BB’s that play poorly.
@@StullOtopen ap better vs all, if you see target that need to be destroyed by HE, use secondaries against her. at close range 406mm can destroy guns on bb, and deal big dmg vs cruiser and dd. your secondaries has bigger HE dpm that your main gun. if you want he/ap gameplay then Thunderer/Republic/Bourgogne better. But situation then he better on GK exist, but rare in my opinion. Also i say about using HE only on GK, because Flamy uses Shikishima long-range only. And in long range Shikishima worse then Yamato. So i say Shikishima in long range only = GK on HE only.
@@gkagara at close range it deal around 15k to Demoin or similar cruiser. But hey, if your playstile fit you, it is ok. Many people tell me i can't play GK because i play with IFHE and without fire prevention (it was before secondaries penetration buff), but i love the ability to melt Montana or yamato at close range with secondaries.
Good player vs Bad player means horror rng vs wg says "you get good Hits no matter what you do, cuz every player should have fun". And if you see a german ship with a playername that sounds german then be prepared for a lack of intelligence.
