When I was in Shillong, I never bought clothes and bags from open streets except for a pair of shoes or two. It will be either GP or Laimu boutiques no matter the price and branded stores. The street shops are not so cheap in PB btw.
These hawkers purchase old stock & reduction products from big shops. If you want to get the latest & best imported stuff you must visit gs road which have the best shoe shops & clothing stores in Shillong like shoe plus uncle shop mohinis & many more

You don't get branded in the streets duhhh...its all duplicate and not cheap as you have shown, although one place to get branded at a cheaper rate is "Iewduh" or "Bara bazaa".. 2nd hand clothes, a shopping hub for northeast fashionistas😊😊 and damn its either you can't differentiate between branded stuffs or you think the viewers are dumb.
I am from Shillong. & Your information is not correct. All items you have shown are street items. What do you mean Shillong has got first copy of branded items. You didn't even enter the market place. The original branded items are available in the showrooms. You didn't even show any showrooms.

Shilling street clothes and shoes are not branded.. It's duplicate shoes nike, Adidas etc . it's not branded... I'm from shillong and the shawls are not khasis traditional.. Different tribes are there...

There's separate show room of brands rather than the streets.. I know it well as i live there for more than 3 years. You should've checked in not just focus on streets side.

USA tops the list so if your argument is to go by then stop tourists from USA from coming to your state . What do you think khasis don't generate waste or khasis don't shit ? Waste management is a national problem and has been addressed to under the swach bharat abhiyan . So on the basis of waste production you can't restrict an Indian from going to other places within the country .
