If you speak to some one from Shimano they will tell you that braid tests less than mono. Meaning 100 pond braid equals to about 60 -70 mono. That’s why the other rod that is thicker says mono on it.
Hello I'm getting the Terez 6'6 like the one you have in the video but in XH. There's not much info on how stiff the rod is and I'd like to know if it's stiff enough for bottom fishing large grouper? I didn't realize how small it looks in the video and may have to find a different rod. I'm pairing it with a shimano talica 16. Thanks a lot!
I've landed only a grouper with this setup...in the 20 lb range... i can tell you that I'm planning to go to a longer power handle for sure. definitely better handling if you use a harness...otherwise feels unstable. i can't cast it very far...I'll give a better review after i hook into something 300lb+
@@doarmihai thank you, I just ordered one , I also ordered an accurate extreme handle for it. With what you said about it not feeling stable, it could be because it may be too tall and not wide enough and that’s what I was afraid of, it perhaps should have been 1/2 an inch wider.
