100% true. As a Daiwa guy rocking Cerate 24, Certate SW etc I bought a Twinpower FD for fun as an "Experiment". The Twinpower FD is now my go to lure reel. Its super light , super smooth and so strong when combating large fish. The drag gives the fisherman absolute confidence in landing any fish. What a reel by Shimano. Looking at getting a Smaller 2500 Twinpower FE 2024 now for smaller species. Don't get me wrong Certates 24 is awesome but there's some something really Special about this Twinpower......
I have that same model and would concur with everything you mentioned. Solid reel. I’m running it with 15lb braid on a BullBay 8-17lb 7’6” Assault that I use for popping corks, surf casting spoons/jigs and gotcha plugs for Spanish. I didn’t realize the drag was felt, but that drag is silky smooth.
Yup , I thought it was carbonfiber this whole time. I just went on Shimanos site to take a few notes for the video and seen they have it listed as carbonfiber I'm like no it's not 😂. But I'm shocked they have lasted this long and still going strong. I got my paired with a custom Bull Bay 7'6 6-12 bolt. Which I will have a review up of the rod probably next week sometime and most likely a video the following week on the combo it's self and what I like to use it for and such.
@@Dink_master_fishing hmm , for me its not flexing. That's the first thing I thought of. I've tried different grease's and such to try to help it out. I mean it's not horrible. But it's not still smooth like the rest of my reels. Vanquish is amazing lightweight reel too
Thanks for the review . I myself fish for big snook on the beach. My van staal vr75 drag is so sticky can’t stand it . Can’t Barely here the drag. So I decided to maybe get the twin power 4000 model. What do you think ?
Van staal use to be so darn good. But they went to poop after they sold off to another company. But as far as the Twin Power depends what area you are in. If fishing east coast of Florida I'd probably run the 4 or 5k If on the west coast of Florida I personally use a 2500 or 3k. The current isn't as bad on the west coast vs the east coast
@@artificialslinger9730 Miami Florida, I fish the beach for tarpon , snook , big jacks … was looking for 1 reel for everything… only issue I see is line capacity. Do you recommended this one ??
