Thank you very much :) Hmm.. It is actually hard for me, to me Vanford spins slightly lighter, MGL rotor is lighter than Air Rotor. But if you like Daiwa's drag feeling over Shimano's, I personally wouldn't go with Vanford, but otherwise, Vanford can be the choice. But if you already have Luvias 2020, I wouldn't renew with Vanford if I were you.
Thank you very much :) From this reel, I did not really get too much noise for the light lures. This seems more about the strength of the pressure from the line therefore line thickness would not make much difference. Now that's all gone better so I can't reproduce the issue, but this is my opinion from the experience in the review.
@@tyvain Like I said we did not want to hide all things. As of the movie I opened the line roller, cleaned and greased up then everything works fine now :)
The noise is the same as in the Stradic FM, but the stradic is actually less noticeable on the water versus on hand. I'm not sure if it's the new gear design, lack of lube in gear or bearings Edit: It seems the culprit was the line roller bearing, I gotta teardown my stradic and check all bearings
@@jpfishingtacklenews195 I hope you can review the stradic fm soon so we can know for sure whats the cause of the noise, there is very little information online, and with the abscence of most reel gurus you guys are awesome, your reviews arent a deep reviews but I think they are honest enough to give me an idea! Keep it up!
@@jpfishingtacklenews195 I think the problem comes from the rough contact surface between the spool and the shaft. I tried to put some grease on the main shaft at the position that contacted the spool, and the noise was reduced significantly. You can try and make a video about this!
Can you help me pointing the specific part that need to be greased ? I also have this exact annoying sound problem in my 24 vanford And I have no experience in taking apart a fishing reel. Thanks
@@rendynyo205 We are afraid we are not able to detect where exactly your noise is coming from as it can be different from this one, but ours was from the line roller ball bearing, so as of the video shown, I cleaned and greased up the ball bearing in the line roller. As of this comment reply one another user detected the noise was coming from the main shaft touched with the spool nut, so you may be able to try to put oil to the main shaft, after you take off the spool.
Depends on what you use for, but if Exsence XR can be used for your target, I would probably go with Exsence XR, it has Rigid Support Drag, which holds the spool by 2x bearings and therefore the drag is so smooth.
