Good info I bought the Vanford 1000 never really been a fan of Shimano thin bail wire compared to the daiwa design especially in their LT models.Their bail wires are definitely a lot beefier
Nice breakdown. Just for clarification, my understanding is that the 1000 and 2000 are also the same body size much like the 2500 and 3000 models are... just slightly larger spools on the 2K and 3K to get a little more line capacity than their respective lower number counterparts. Is that your understanding as well? Thanx for the breakdown. I'm on the fence of either a 1K or 2K reel for light finesse bassing.
@@appranayuda I got the 1000 and I'm very happy with it. My double-grip handle fits perfect and reels fine. It is paired with a 6'7" Med-Light Poison Adrena rod. I've caught many bass with it up to 4lbs; I mostly use it for dropshotting but also wacky, Ned, and Neko. I chose the 1000 because I didn't need anything to cast far so I didn't need a spool that held a lot of line. I love this setup!!
@@nateroo I'm considering to get the c2000s to get the same body size as the 1000 but slightly larger spool to compensate the shallow spool since I like shallow spool reel. Is the spool size difference really noticeable? I'm really confused which model to choose right now 😂
@@appranayuda You won't go wrong with the c2000 as it will be same body size and the spool will allow you to spool more line while still being a shallow spool; it is just proportionately larger to accomodate more line yardage but it is still considered a shallow spool. This is especially important if you happen to fish very deep reservoirs and the fish may be 40-60 ft or even deeper. I got the 1000 because I already have many 2000, 3000, and 4000 size reels, all Stradic Ci4s. The spool size is only noticeable if you put a 1000 next to the 2000, and then you can see the difference. My suggestion is go to your local tackle shop that carries the Vanford and check them out side by side. That's what I did. But remember, I wasn't worried about line capacity because I intend to use it in the CA Delta. When I go to deeper lakes, I take a 2500 or 3000 size. Bottom line, you won't go wrong with the c2000!

I just ordered C2000HG Vanford.As I understood from your video ,it's a little bit bigger role than the 1000 size.My question,is it the same body or a bit bigger at 2000compact size?Also,is the spool bigger or?Will use for my ultra light fishing.Trout primary on a 6.6' rod.Maximum 5 gr. wobblers and 3.5 grams spinners.Thanks.
