My new camera bag might be the best camera bag of 2023. The Shimoda Urban Explore 25L.

In future videos, you'll definitely see me with the Shimoda Urban Explore. It comes in a 20L, 25L and a 30L version. Personally, I have the 25L bag and it's perfect.

Shimoda Action X50 in black and im gutted ! Days after i got the black version the mustard/yellow bag came out so wish i was aware of this as i would of gone for that, not sure why but really like that colour. The bag itself is really well made and some great touches , loaded up it can be a fair weight but a great bag !

Peak design for street run and gun. Pete McKinnon large for landscape / trecking etc…. Had both for a while and they’re awesome. 👍

I have both the 25L and 35L versions of Shimoda Explore v2. Ian makes fantastic bags. Absolutely in love with Shimoda. Gonna purchase UE as well, just can't decide whether I should go for UE 25 or UE 30 :))

City/street Wandrd prvk but it only has 1 side pocket that's always annoyed me as I'll often want a tripod and a water bottle Landscape the shimoda explorer v2 36l

Seems like a nice bag. Kind of feels like Shimoda and Peak Design had a baby, but clearly it's own thing :) I could see there being a decent market for this sort of thing. Pretty amazing how far bags have come in the last 5+ years... Remember those older rectangular purpleish Manfrotto bags we used to use for a bit?

I had a similar thought, but that the Shimoda was competing with the Pete McKinnon 25L bag from Nomatic. I like the Shimoda price point much better and has more features that I’d likely use.

I'm still using my Manfrotto MB PL-3N1-36 from 2017 ! The tripod being in the center makes it so much more stable and I can even pack some snack and an emergency sweatshirt or towel ahah For 'everyday' for sure I would use a smaller one

Just so you know, the bag does have a dedicated hidden compartment for an AirTag on the inside of the front exterior pocket. Also, can you tell me how resistant that material and color is to marks and aims; I really like that color and thinking about getting it vs the black color. Thanks, and great video.

This looks very similar to the Peak Design Everyday Bag with the exception of it having a back opening. The shoulder straps do look comfortable though.

As much as I don't need another bag, it definitely looks like a great bag for around town, I noticed it doesn't look like it has a waist strap only a chest strap. I really need work on this GAS problem😜

Hey Brendan, could you test to see if a 15-inch dell laptop fits in the 25L bag you were sharing? I know my laptop is a Dell XPS 15', so it would be nice to see if you can test it in your own bag for me, so I dont end up buying the wrong sized bag for it to ultimately not fit.

Hi! I only have the 13" so I can't test. But I believe the 15" dell is much smaller than the MacBook 16" which fits. So I am sure it'll fit.

I quite like my Tenba 20L Axis bag. Cost US$2500 - came with a free R6 Mark II, though.

I don't, but I'm 100% sure it will fit. That sleeve fits my 13" laptop with loads of room to spate.

You can change your pledge before the campaign closes, so long as the 25L is still available.

Yeah, something I forgot to mention. I think for the urban, the idea was as few straps as possible. I think it was the right decision.

Apparently another youtuber out there, Brent Hall, showed off how you are able to add a 3rd party waist strap like a removable strap that peak design sells, and slide it into the hidden back pouch that was the second location where Brendan mentioned you could hide an airtag... apparently you can slide in an entire waist strap there as well.
