I keep coming back to this Gem ❤, the 70s show built my whole childhood, glad my dad showed me this when I was 5, I just turned 15, 6 days ago, it pains me that no one remembers this gem
@@peppermillers8361 I believe in Getter.... I hope that one day we will have a new anime telling the original story of the manga, but, taking into account all the themes of evolution, emperor, the future of humanity, the enemy out there in space, epicness. With all those themes being captured from the first few episodes, we'll show viewers what this franchise is capable of... and then, hopefully... they'll start believing in Getter.
I started with Shin Mazinger and I think that's a great starting place. You'll probably be confused with episode one if you aren't familiar with the material and the ending is kinda disappointing (give us a sequel dammit!) But it's a relatively short series (26 episodes I think) and incredibly fun. The soundtrack is like the kind of music you'd hear in a 70s anime and it gets Go Nagai's artstyle and look down pretty well.
!MY GOD¡ is extremely pity that this ended inn a stupid cliffhanger, because is the best adaptation of the legendary manga of Go Nagai, deserve return to continue the story, even with more action than ever, !THIS IS SO EPIC¡, !YEAH¡.
GO" Hello to all my subscribers many ask me if you see a second season of this wonderful robot but so far they have not announced anything but when you get some information will be the first to know. Thank you for your fingers up and remember "MAZIN GO"
Mh, good point: I didn't consider it that way and I just took it as an unusual insight on a second-row villain, but now that you mention it... Yes, quite sad
Kinda, it's definitely tied to the finale... but makes no sense without the journey there. Also, the show ended on such a big cliffhanger that, if it doesn't get continued, I'm gonna have to Rocket Punch someone!
Still wait for the fan Dream to be true one day. Trigger getting the rights to reboot mazinger z and any of go nagai mechas he was part of for today's generation. Call me crazy but the animation style that trigger has from gurren Lagan and kill la kill can work for many of the mechas and the characters. Last thing to put the cherry on top let gurren lagan join the reboot if they ever do it. Either reboot it or a sequel to gurren Lagan, characters get warped and face getter robot if possible. Again all fan idea but really do hope trigger does it.
I like Trigger, but they have hard time with series non Trigger original animes. Also the way trigger handle it's animation is very fast in your face and quick. This goes against how Mazinger(especially Z) fights and is portrayed. Mazinger Z is a stern and castle that uses it's attacks to wipe thing away in a instant. It's not meant to be jumping all other the place and doing crazy stuff like Gurren Lagann can. They are two very different robots that need different styles of animation. I personally think Toei can handle a Mazinger series again(not idle, that would be Madhouse, or at least Actas for a studio).
I think they'd be better off with Getter Robo and Imaishi is a huge fan of Getter Robo Go. A Trigger produced manga-faithful series of Go would be incredible. Gurren Lagann already borrows much of its style and themes.
Some Guy, kinda, except you are thinking of the wrong super robot, mazinger was never the mobile type, it could move fast, but nothing special, like Christopher Blair said, Getter is the robo you are thinking about. the whole point of Mazinger Z is that he can take whatever you throw at him, pretty much everything he does, requires it to be stationary. Getter is the complete opposite, it is resilient, but its much more focused on mobility. also, as a side note, Gurren was such an homage to Getter, that some people think, it is less of a homage and more of a copy, due to how much it takes from those series.

Ó-MÁ-É To nara, kanjite knight. Ó-MÁ-É NARABA DeKÍru. ROCK ME.
last i heard the studio who made it went bust and Go Nagai is trying to find someone else to make it dunno if it was true and, if so, if he's still trying
Shut up. The relationship between characters was the best thing about Shin Mazinger. It wasn't brainless like the previous entries. In fact, every episode had some connection to some other episode, be it even 5-10 episodes further away. Shin Mazinger hit the right balance between action and story, without going overboard in both.
